Let's be honest: We haven't done anything.
That's not that big of a deal. I thought this season would go like it has, lose to Bama but find some good things then disappear from the spotlight for a few weeks only to reappear on a Thursday night in Atlanta. It's fine, we need to get better.
Be patient. We'll be heard from before this season is up.
Yeah, I can't really blame him for benching David Wilson last night. But I really hope he protects the ball better, and lives up to his potential.
The gamecast window has a watch live button

As a Giants fan, this was me during the game last night.

(Well sort of, the Super Bowl wins have mellowed me out, but I really like that GIF.)
I'm not surprised in the least that Coughlin benched him. I'm mildly shocked he gave him the second opportunity after the first fumble. David has to protect the ball. Coughlin doesn't stand for folks being 5 minutes early, let alone putting the football on the ground.
I thought a lot of NFL play in week one was sloppy, and as they mentioned during the broadcast last night, I believe it has to do with limited preseason practices because of the new CBA stipulations.
Coach Bud Foster never ceases to amaze me with how he can alter his defense based on personnel and situations. He is truly one of the greats.
In my opinion polls are just used to hype teams and get better ratings. USCw had no business being ranked, except that it helped with page views and the like. If we had the TV draw of Texas or USCw we'd start This season in the top 15 even after last season because we'd make someone money.
I'm down for that! I have him as well but I also got Pierre garon left to play and my skins d!
Well since they only schedule ACC teams and we haven't been too good as a whole lately it will be a while still.
Clemson started the season with a big win and will have a chance to beat USCe. GT i don't think can handle UGA though.
Eli had a great fantasy night though, so of course he was on my bench
Bud Foster = Buddy Ryan
I like how Bud continues to create havoc with his defenses year in and year out. If he had elite level talent it would be scary to see what he could do. And I think that is happening with the last few classes VT has pulled in.
He'll probably fine them for not being early enough to meetings again.
The punt return team was universally awful in this game, and most of that falls on Jarrett making numerous poor decisions in the return game. Again, if teams are going to kick short to prevent a return, it is silly to risk Jarrett's hamstring. Put someone back who will make the fair catch and say thank you for the free yardage.
Georgia is a beautiful town; as a matter of fact, I was born in the State of Ft. Stewart (Hinesville).
As Dan Patrick would say, "The Mothership sucks"
*Note*: I don't think Dan Patrick has ever said that but I'm sure he thinks it.
If anyone wants reason for why you should never leave a game early, please see 2009 vs. Nebraska. You just never know what will happen before the clock hits 0:00
Welcome to the discussion and agreed. I find it a bit misguided to suggest that everyone must stay for the whole game all the time. However, against loluva, even if we're up, say, 38-0, stay. Just to revel in it. I guess I can't blame anyone for leaving if the issue is no longer in doubt, but against any of the teams that should be competitive, just stay. Any game that ends up competitive when it shouldn't be (one way or the other), stay. Don't leave a close game. That's my only gripe. And if we're pummeling LOLUVA, enjoy it.
There's quite a bit to do. I would leave these gimme games after we have a huge lead and I've seen enough of our offense and defense. Like the app state two years ago, left around half to head downtown and watch the other games. You can go hang out with friends that aren't big into football or help prep the victory party.
Just because you leave at half time during a FCS curb stomp doesn't mean you aren't supportive or the fan base is losing is edge. Now once we get into conference play and this happens then it's time to get worried.
In all fairness..our fans aren't as loud as they used to be...I think we need our fans to step up and be louder so we don't have to rely on a set of speakers to scare opponents. Call me old school but I think the speakers are too much. Let the fans do the work..that's how it should be. I don't want the speakers to be louder than the fans..that's too much like Uva
Great review- as always i really enjoyed it. i was waiting for a sack from Gayle- hope he can get them rolling.
D played stout and bowed up after the Jarrett punt problem. I just hope our O can stay on the field with a few sustained drives. It's gonna be hot in Greenville .
2014 is the year of the Cavalier?? It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
I was in NEZ and absolutely loved the fact that the speakers were so loud. I wonder if it was pushed to the limits as overcompensation for the fact that the screen wasn't working for a while.
Coughlin is probably ready to go all-Aaron Moorehead on his HBs, but in a more old school way.
Hey French/others, can you answer a question that I've always wondered about? What's the general order of playcalls and audibles? For instance, does the Offensive Coordinator call the play down to the quarterback, then the Defensive Coordinator calls his alignment; or does the DC have to guess based on down and distance, and the players react?
Thanks in advance, I'll hang up and listen

Hopefully culminating with a big win in Charlotte, over the Clemson Tigers!
