Coughlin did it with Tiki, I'm confident he'll get DW4 on the right track. It'll kill me to no end if Evans, DW4, and RMFW all don't pan out in the league.
SO UPSET THAT MY SPIDERS LOST THE WAY THEY DID. They look as good as Mike London's 2008 squad, maybe even better. MIKE YOU COULD HAVE WON CHAMPIONSHIPS AT RICHMOND.
I submit Bama for your approval.
A D-1 starter (leading the team in INTs) for one of the best D- Coordinators in the country, and probably one of the best up and coming Position coaches in the nation is aiiiiiight? Well, aiiiiight, then!
I can't upvote this enough. Thank you for serving
Really... we've gotten to the point where major complaints are that it is too loud? Next up: The fans need to tone it down when the Hokies are on defense...
I think we'll lock ECU up on the outside. I'm shocked that's only a 7 point line. VT 34-13.
Fantastic read, Thanks as always French. I just hope we can maintain this level of insensity all year.
I was in NEZ, and it's really not that bad. I love the fact that the board is booming. It adds an intimidating factor the other team must notice.
Bahahaha...It was hot, I had heat exhaustion, I'm sun burnt. WTF!! I live in Alabama and would LOVE to be able to get to games on the norm. However, due to geograhical and checking account concerns I can't go. I've missed 3 football seasons because terrorist are assholes(2001 bowl season,'03,'05,'12 seasons) and I have a job that doesn't allow me to live in the "American city like" bases overseas when I'm there. EPHokie said it best a few post's up, be prepared! Quit whining like a bunch of bowtie wearing, zima drinking ass clowns. Down vote away if you must but it's not a dislike button...
The only reason Eli wasn't benched was because the Giants' other options are David Carr, Curtis Painter, and Ryan Nassib. UVA has a better QB rotation than that.
The receiver has to adjust, but the QB has to give the receiver a chance to make a play. LT doesn't do a great job of that.
well you could go back to your tailgate and continue drinking....I'm not trying to justify leaving the game early but maybe if the state drinking age was lowered to 18 and alcohol was permitted for sale in the stadium we could keep fans around a little longer...
I'm not so sure I would have stayed in NEZ for the entire game with how loud those speakers are. I was sitting in West Sect 18 (basically on the goal line of SEZ) and the speakers were overbearing there....I can't imagine what they would have been like if I was 120 yards closer. I expect our fans to stay for the entire game every single week and I've never left a game before 0:00 but I'm not sure I'd be too quick to blame the fans sitting right next to those damn speakers. The new Board is great (when it's working) but they really need to tone it down a few notches during the game. (going all out during Enter Sandman is, to me, the only acceptable time to blare those speakers full tilt)
I think its sad that people are having more fun leaving the event, then actually staying at the event and enjoying what they paid for. If your only going to get a fourth or a half of your money's worth, why even bother? Just stay at the tailgate and give your ticket away..
Serious question: What do people leave games early to do? What is better at 2:00 PM on a Saturday to do in Blacksburg, VA? Always wondered this.
What further baffles me is putting a RB in the dog house for fumbling won't help his fumbling issues. Playing him and getting him experience and a lot of practice will help considerably.
There are a lot of factors here, and they have been addressed. The receivers are just as new to the offense as LT is. Look at tom brady from yesterday...he is missing a lot of his targets and had a pretty average day because his receivers are new to him with no chemistry. LT has barely any chemistry and a brand new play book. If receivers timing, routes etc are off, it forces the QB to make a lot of adjustments. I think it will get better as the season progresses but it's hard to make snap judgements when our only two opponents are #1 alabama and mediocre WCU.
If he can't improve his game LT will be benched. I can't believe he is the best option right now.
I thought we went over this already

It's important to remember that Beamer doesn't run the score up on mediocre teams for the sake of running the score up. Beamer uses these games as learning experiences for the players as well as coaches. It's like trying to predict an NFL team's regular season record based on the preseason. Obviously QB play has to improve, WR has to improve, but it is a work in progress with a new offense, new coaches, etc. It will take time.
Well then alert the authorities, we have an impostor among us...
I definitely thought Mangus should have been hit for a loss but the LB who tried to make the play took the wrong angle. Either that or Mangus hit another gear right before that. Was hard to really tell, but he burned their team and earned that TD.
"Demitrius Knowles" as well as "Tyrod Taylor, who won 95% of his games at Virginia Tech." Next time there's an ESPN3 only game, the sound is going off and we're delaying it a little so we can be in time with Mike and Bill's broadcast.
I just had a glorious mental image of Sandman during a night game (do those exist any more?) where they did lighting effects. Dim the lights at the start of Sandman (a nearly pitch-black Terror Dome), flash them when it really kicks in with that classic riff. How cool would that be? Probably a safety issue, though...

Oh really? There's a HorseOnATreadmill in the TKP Fantasy? Can't blame them, it is a pretty good screenname. DogOnAnUnderwaterTreadmill appears to be the wave of the future, though.
