This was the greatest scenario for VT and the ACC in general. Miami's defense gave up 424 yards, yet because UF was careless, UF couldn't convert in the redzone. Miami's offense was also not spectacular, getting only 211 yds and 1/11 on 3rd Down. On the surface, another ACC team beat a top-tier SEC team and the U is back. Hopefully Miami should be ranked when VT heads to Coral Gables, but UM does have to get through GT and UNC first.
It was yards allowed per play (they score so fast the opponent actually has quite a bit of time to run their own offense too). However, Oregon lost 2 very, very good linebackers.
Well, that was just heartwarming. Goodnight TKPers!
Don't forget that Florida is vastly overrated as they have been most every year since Tebow...
That being said, still a solid win for Miami, will put them into the rankings. We'll see how they show up next week against... Savannah St.? Really? That'll be real ugly
Florida's offense is terrible. I watched the game. Neither team played very well. It was a toss up until a fumble gave Miami the game.
Don't be fooled by espn..
The announcers believed Oregon left 28-points off the board.
I agree and I think he just isn't a big guy. That second interception, the replay showed the defender literally boxing him out and knowles just kind of watching. The only reason Leal's deep ball wasn't intercepted was because parker made an over the shoulder play to make sure it was picked off.
Hard to say. Florida had 5 turnovers, 3 of which were in the red zone and 1 that basically gift-wrapped a Miami touchdown. The Miami offense was suspect and only managed just over 200 yards. Florida gave it to them. If Miami can convincingly beat some teams in conference play, then maybe that statement might be true.
Of course, ESPN will probably crown them inevitable ACC champions or something...
then we can tear them down again
He returned a punt or two, I think the first one that he fair-caught.
just a post to say the O-line played really well today...LT3 had time for his progressions and make throws...No QB sacks and the backs had holes to run through.
I still don't believe Jarrett has any interceptions. I'd like to see him get a few this season to really shine
it was also WCU lol
J.C. Coleman's added bulk did wonders for him. I expect big things from the guy this year
GO FOR 2, MAKE IT 60!
Hard to say how good he was, he had 2 picks but that was about it it seemed
The pick in the end zone that was returned 97 yards made me especially happy. If only he could have gotten those last 3 yards.
Nothing quite warms my heart like watching UVA get completely destroyed
On the 2nd interception, I felt that Knowles didn't battle for the ball the way past receivers would, but again it's because Knowles is still relative new to the position.
yep. I think the biggest thing for the offense is just getting in a rhythm and having chemistry. Everyone is new to this offense and there are bound to be some growing pains. Just have to be patient.
Also keep in mind the offense was fairly vanilla.
Glad you noticed. I felt the same thing, but I'll wait to see if French agree upon his film review.
The ball was overthrown It was a pretty easy INT and the first INT was all kendall there making a play on the ball
I agree. There was one that left me shaking my head, straight down the middle to Stanford where Logan hit him square in the hands, right in front of his face, splitting the D nicely. And what happened? Ball on the turf. I'll have to go back and look to see if it was a harder play than it looked, but live it looked like it should have been a pickup of 15-20 yards on one of the better throws of the day.
Jarrett is better then bonner. Bonner is aight.

^ Hit the nail on the head. Spot on.
