Considering that Florida is slugging it out with OSU for the title of most overrated team in the country (at least from what I've seen with the eye test), I'm not overly impressed. Somewhat impressed, yes, and happy for the ACC. But it's not shocking.
I think he was solid, no doubt. Just not on the level of Jarrett or Ky Fuller, IMO.
Really? On a 3rd and short with everyone bunched up in the middle (or on the goal line), that's what I always check to. And I use All-American (no, I don't use Heisman, so call me a scrub. Who cares? I lay 70 on UVA annually).
I have to disagree. I can never get good blocking on that play. What difficulty setting do you use?
I think those throws were actually good decisions, based on what Loeffler was saying. He got his playmaker matched up one-on-one with a defender (and an inferior one at that) and that's the throw he has to make there. He just needs to put it a yard or so farther back and Demitri can't let a bad DB manhandle him like that and cut in front to pick it off. He's gotta make a better play on the ball.
Here is the link to the new score board in action. Just score down below the imagine of the Hokies up 7 0-
Theyre in the redzone again! I feel like I shouldnt be going for richmond but I cant help it...
+1 for all of you
This guy is special. Glad he's a Hokie. To have that kind of game with only 1 year of high school experience and 1 month of college practice it awesome.
This has been a great day! The Hokies won, LOLUVA was destroyed, and mike London was chasing the refs crying. The guy is the biggest whiner.
I think everyone has been hailing Grimes since he said, "tip of the spear."
On that note, the fake dive-HB toss is probably the only play I've seen us run in the last 5 years that works as well live as it does in NCAA. That made me very happy. Also, newsflash, Mangus is fast.
YES! 3rd and one, and we convert with a very nice push up the middle on a couple of occasions. On the 4th and one, my buddy asked me if we'd see Thomas the tank engine, and I said no: inside zone. We saw an inside zone with great blocking and a nice run by the TB to convert. We got a push against an inferior opponent. For the first time in about 7 years, we got a freakin push against an inferior opponent. All hail Jeff Grimes.
It's going to take time to develop the chemistry for those kind of throws to work. Work in progress...definitely better, still needs work but it will be ok as long as the D keeps performing
In NCAA, those easily would've been TDs!
I can see why Logan threw those 2. He saw he had one of his playmakers one-on-one with a (supposedly) inferior defender, took a shot and trusted his man to make a play. He didn't throw the ball as well as he should have and his receiver didn't bail him out as well as he should have. I liked the idea a lot, but they just didn't pull it out. Thomas has to throw that ball another yard or two to the pylon and Knowles has to at least make pretend he's a DB and break that up.
The Spiders are giving the wolfpack a heluva game
I was disappointed in Knowles for at the very least failing to prevent an interception on those 2 passes. On that second pick, he just let the DB slide right in front of him. He's not huge, but neither was the guy covering him. He needs to go up and fight for the ball.
On a happier note, I was glad to see DJ get himself a score. Great play design, beautiful pass and a solid route/catch. Great to see after a subpar performance in Atlanta.
My thoughts exactly. That made me very happy to see.
Ummmm, No....
That seems reasonable. End of the half they stalled on a 4th and goal from the 1. I think they went for it on 4th down a couple more times in the red zone.
That was it, thanks.

Before this game I was texting a buddy and predicted 52-10. So close.
