That was after the pick-six. Thomas was pissed about it. I would not be surprised if Moorehead bench Knowles and Coles for the West Carolina game to send a message. Absolutely inexcusable.

If you watch the first half, you will see maybe 2 bad throws, a great throw to DJ coals (34 yard pass), a great downfield throw to knowles that he drops, etc. As the game wore on, Alabama forced us into passing situations and defended them great. Combine that with wrong routes, dropped balls and it makes Logan look bad. Logan also made mistakes, but once again I hardly call that the worst QB performance I have seen as much as I would say the worst WR performance I have seen. I have never seen that many drops. Logan has potential and he will learn, but Logan will get better...watch and see. Case and point: the short yardage throws were more accurate than they have ever been. Logan put more balls on target last night than he ever did last season. He made his mistakes but if the receivers caught every ball that was on target, Logan would have been 18-26 worst case and you'd be singing a different tune.

Logan was 5-26 last night! That might have been the worst QB performance I've ever seen. I'm not too mad at him, though, because I've learned not to expect much. But the fact that people continue to think that all of this will magically turn around is mind blowing. He still is not accurate. He still makes terrible decisions. I mean guys cmon. Our receivers looked awful last night, but when you're running across the middle of the field against a team like bama and the ball is thrown low/behind you, you're not going to sell out either.

There were a ton of positives to take from last night; probably the most anybody has ever taken from a 35-10 loss. But it's laughable that one of them is "LT can only get better".

I liked a lot of what I saw during the game. After the game... not so much. I don't like seeing players and coaches content with a loss, regardless of whether it's to the defending champs.

uva can build themselves up, so we can tear them down. they're going to get destroyed by the Ducks.

Beat Clemson. VA TECH must be the next MNC game rep from the ACC.

I saw Logan really getting on his WR (I think it was Coles) after that play.

Beat Clemson. We need to reassert ourselves in the ACC. I also wouldn't be surprised if this is Chad Morris' last season with them, before taking an HC position somewhere.

Agreed - poor execution can make a lot of playcalls look silly. And you can't expect to reliably beat a great front 7 like that with one trick. I feel like thats an O'Cainspring tactic (run-run-pass-punt). You require a bit of an imagination to have a chance. Poor qb and receiver play made it a moot point, though.

Would you rather beat Clemson or have the ACC play on the national title game?

Logan would have completed around 50% or a little better if we actually had receivers which wouldn't be bad against a future NFL roster. With that being said at receiver there is a huge gap in regards to actual talent. I honestly would like Caleb to go back to wr and or possibly looking at Coleman as a potential slot receiver if he can catch, so we can get the best players out there. Wouldn't be totally shocked if little fuller has some packages on O either for wr

On the flip side of the argument, there's been zero indication that Bruce Smith even wants to be a coach. He's a great ambassador for our program and loves doing that, but maybe that's his preferred role as an alum.

Yeah, Ellis's reaction was inevitable.

The focus was always going to be on how Alabama played, not how we played. Imagine how professional golfers feel when every tournament is highlighted by analysts with a, "Now, did Tiger lose this or did whoever won it actually win it? Who did win it, actually, I wasn't paying attention". The quotes from Saban sound like he gives our defensive line credit where it is due.

They outplayed us up front, if you want to know the truth...
We didnt handle their pressure or movement very well

It is frustrating to see such a great defensive performance lost on the media. If we can dominate the next few weeks, I think people will start to sit up and notice how good the defense is. Pitch a few shutouts, hold opponents to less than 200 total yards, and generally personify Bud Foster and the national media will point to us as a great defense. Of course, it will take until week 10 until this happens.

How about we hire Bruce Smith as our new AD? He'd look a lot snazzier in those Fighting Gobbler pants than Weaver.

Agreed, this was a decent weekend for us. The Syracuse loss saddens me because #goacc and it looked like they could have gotten it done. Our loss and UNC aren't a big surprise as I wasn't expecting either one. At least Clemson got the job done. And, yes, UVA won a game. My heart sank a little when I saw the final score of that one, but at least #goacc. Silver linings.

In the second half Edmunds was having a lot of trouble getting those chunks of yardage. He was something like 19 runs for 56 yards after his big touchdown. That averages to 2.9 yards a run. To allow edmunds to break open more runs the passing game had to succeed. Alabama was stacking the box and daring us to pass...it is what it is.

Scot Loeffler has forgotten more about football then I'll ever know. I'm still very optimistic about what he brings to the program. But why did they not run the football more? It seemed like Edmunds was consistently getting those 3-4 yard chunks (and sometimes more).

Has anybody read anything by Zac Ellis, a writer for Sports Illustrated? I started reading an article he wrote about the game last night and had to stop because I was so angry. Dudes talking about how completely dominant Bama was in every single phase of the game, like our defense did nothing last night. Just generally hyping up bama, sounding more like a fan than a reporter. Just wanted to vent and see what everyone else thought

Then you can't say you didn't see it coming!
