I've got an odd feeling. We haven't had luck turn our way in a significant way (unless you count that gump's lack of time management) and it certainly hasn't gotten better this offseason. I believe the boys are hungry, motivated, and I know they've worked their butts off the past few months. It's a peculiar feeling, but I am optimistic. Ultimately, if we hold bama to less than 30 points and we're still in it midway through the 3rd then we've done a heck of a job.
In lieu of that my realistic prediction is 27-13 Alabama.
And my other prediction is 23-20 Hokies, Journell's leg wins it.
Now I really feel hilarious. Just saw @andybittervt popped a link up of the post.
Not only am I certain that they aren't real (who knew photoshop has gotten to the point of being that good) but a reputable writer for the hometown rag of the Hokies thought I was equally on point.

He is extremely impressive. if you forced me to pick the next VT coach from the current coaching staff, I'd pick Jeff Grimes. He just has this confidence about him.

If you are old enough to remember... the back of the old scorebaord had nothing on it for five+ years. The graphics were an awesome upgrade ~ years later. The VT logo does help to balance out the small type a bit, so I do feel the result has saved face for now. Bu,t it is still BEGGING for an upgrade (within the 5 years for sure) and I have faith that it will eventually be something that makes the HOKIE NATION beam with HOKIE PRIDE~!!!!! GO HOKIES!!!

I've only "missed" two games, the 1995 Cincinnati loss in the rain (field trip for ecology class) and the '07(?) Glennon-beats-GT-in-their-practice-jersey game (work function).
I have, however, chosen not to watch a number of games the last few years because they didn't hold my interest....like BGSU/Austin Peay/Duke last year and the infamous JMU game. I don't like cupcake games, I've got too much other stuff to do to give 3 hours of my time to watching something we better win.

Renner's arm is suspect and his mechanics looked terrible last night. I'm no coach but I can tell when someone is throwing off-balance and puts floater after floater out there.
I understand, I was just saying, similar to how you remember certain jerseys for performance, I get afraid that players do the same thing. I am a fan of the game and want to watch the team win--I'd like them to establish jerseys that they wear no matter what so they don't associate them with wins and losses...just hard fought football.

My prediction is that darkness will rise in Atlanta. The fire that has fueled us since last year will burn to a degree nobody can take anymore. I personally think that Gayle and Tyler are so sick of hearing about how good bama is and how good we ain't. Point is nobody knows how fucking good or bad we might be!!!! This is why we play the game. Mano e Mano us vs them. ACC vs sec, Beamer vs Saban, Fosters children vs mccarons boys. The dark knight vs bane. We have to dig deep and come out and play our game. Silva was claimed unbeatable and the American knocked his ass out cold! What if we come out and drop 50 on bama? What then chief? It's time to rise, there's a storm coming Atlanta better watch out. Better find you a basement it's the worst storm you ever seen, be careful when the weather man says watch out for nickel sized hail and the damaging winds.
