Everybody knows that babies dressed in Hokie gear don't cry.

He's throwing out a "LET'S GO...HOKIES!

Duh.

you hinted at it, but I don't like when teams get superstitious about what uniforms they wear. Many schools wear the same 2 or 3 uniforms all year long that they win or lose in. At that point it's not about the uni's it's about performance.

2 reasons I think this is photoshopped besides it looking dated with the puffy sleeves:
1) The picture is extremely pixelated and there is very bad discoloration in the numbers
2) The ACC patch is WAY too high. It goes on the right side of the chest, opposite the Nike swoosh, not on the shoulder.

You're right wearing new uniforms won't make us play better and losing in all maroons looks the same as losing in a new uniform. But what I'm trying to say is I rather lose in our usual "get ups" than a new uni. I loved our Boise state game jerseys, but we lost in them. I loved our Orange helmets for the Stanford game, but we lost in them. I loved our orange pants and we've won a few games and won in them, but the point I'm getting at is I don't want VT to be known as one of those teams that isn't winning but will be known for there look on the field. ***Cough***...(Maryland). And this is just my opinion, but when we were new jerseys to games like this when we don't win it sticks with me, because that's when I remember those games by those jerseys because we lost in them.

And I'm not saying were going to lose the Bama please don't take my words out of context. I still believe we will win this game.

GO HOKIES!

That a battle cry people, not a sad cry! Pure rage! Excitement! Ready to kick some Bama ass! GRRR!

I don't really like em to be honest. I don't hate them either i guess. I think it's something that i'll have to see on the field to really make up my mind, if this is legit of course.
Even if you say you like it, you gotta admit you weren't excited when you saw them at first. I just want something where i'm like, "Oh hells yeah!" when i see it...

Pretty much the entire 1995 season. I wasn't a Hokie yet, as I was just a junior in high school who had no concept that college football was a thing, so it isn't I like I knew what I was missing.

But the Sugar Bowl win over Texas at the end of that season was what put Virginia Tech football on the map. I wish I could've experienced it live.

No, he will redshirt this year and have two more years to play. If he loses another season to injury, he can apply for medical redshirt.

Most players redshirt that first year (and you may note some of the redshirting players have "injuries" so it seems like they are redshirting due to injury not performance. That way if they get hurt, they have documentation to ask for the extra year). For Malleck, because he didn't redshirt his first year, it happens now.

I was in Shanghai for work during the Nebraska game in 2009. After having gone out to Lincoln in 2008 I was bummed that I would miss the chance to return the hospitality that we received to their visiting fans in Lane. I ended up watching the game via a bootleg video link provided by VTPhreak and due to the time zone differences I was up very early and screaming in my hotel during the last two minutes. I was texting and emailing back and forth to my friends in the US about how shitty the game was going for us and then, boom. Danny Fucking Coale. I would have loved to have been there for that game.

I also missed the complete shellacking of Miami's backness that same year while in Paris. I did manage to catch bits of it on ESPN International but ended up passing out after the game was well in hand. Hated to miss that too since I love a good foul weather game in Lane.

I also missed the game against USCw in 2004 due to a friends wedding. No TV, no internet (out in the sticks) so I didn't even find out the score until I got back to the hotel and managed to catch it on the ESPN crawler. I still haven't seen any more from that game than the phantom PI sequence and it still makes my stomach turn to think of what might have been. 2004 remains one of my all time favorite Hokie squads.

So if somebody makes a good hard hit and the NCAA can suspend you longer than they did Johnny Hanc....I mean Football.

But a play like this that is clearly dirty just gets you 15 yards.....sometimes I hate the NCAA.

EDIT: See post below

Shiny pants and huge stitching for the pad pockets? Pants look like they are from the 90s. I think this is probably a very good photo shop. That being said, I don't hate it but matte grey pants would be preferrable to the late 90s shiny look.

I really don't give a damn what we wear tomorrow. Just show up to play.
