French i love this stuff! I never would've know that and love learning more about Hokie football.
I'm sure there are concerns over positional changes, but in this case it's different as he stepped up to help the team out and as pointed out by many he's not missing out on learning the Defensive side of the ball anyways.
The other issue with recruits not wanting to change positions is that maybe they would be better suited at a different spot on the field, helping both themselves and the team.
Have we had anyone recently that has greatly benefited from shifting positions where it would be good for recruits to take notice?

He's not back with the team. (Also, that post and its comments are hard to make heads or tails of because it was updated more times than UVa had fans at their spring game.)
And now my day just got so much better. Regardless of personnel -which "string" D was in or whatever, I bet the offense hadn't scored 6 TDs in a scrimmage since MV7 was in Lane. And why the funk isn't this at the top of the blog posts on the main page?!?!?! This is serious...

That was the most cohesive, organized looking Virginia Tech offense I have seen since I became a Hokie in 2004. Very, very excited.
1. Chris Mangus is a burner. He picked up 20 yards on one run in a hot second, and I don't even think he hit his top gear.
2. Joel Caleb is the real deal at TB. For those who missed the highlight, he showed good speed and then lowered his shoulder and went kaboom on a DB.
3. Logan looked fast. Those pounds he lost were good for him.
4. I think I saw Sam Rogers beat someone up as a lead blocker.
5. WTF Dadi catching passes? Me likey.
I guess that's so. Looks like it would have been really easy to make it a bowl...that being said I love what it is now. Very unique and iconic.
EDIT: Roanoke Times article of 2002 says future expansion will be in future discussion around 2013. I can't seem to find anything and the only thing I could think of is to attach east and west at the north, or replicate the south endzone in the north. I know beamer wants his practice fields but I was curious if anyone knows something I don't.
EDIT2: after doing some research, a north endzone renovation would yield 7k more seats and cost tons of money not to mention it would mean relocating the practice fields. That cost just doesn't make sense when games are sold out, the atmosphere is always electric etc. Not to mention....the scoreboard kind of solidifies that the NEZ is staying the same for a while...
From everything I have heard, he is still ON the team but is not currently WITH the team. He is "dealing with some personal things" and hopefully will rejoin the team soon.
On the 18th. He left again on the 19th.

If Brown and Izzo are a package deal, they're not both ending up at tOSU; Izzo, to my knowledge, doesn't have an offer from them - nor any true interest, as they didn't make his Top 4. Rutgers remains a possibility, but I think Wisconsin is our biggest threat with Izzo. Brown is a bit of a stretch; while I'd love to end up with him, I have a feeling he is not that into us given his public love for the Buckeyes and even Rutgers, to some extent. We were on them early, so hopefully that carries some weight and we can continue to push hard.

Glad to see they've integrated the standard athletic font above the scoreboard. Feels more modern and less generic. Plus no more Golden Arches! Hooray!
