# | Sam Rogers Named Starting Fullback for Alabama Game and more Depth Chart News I said this right after he signed, but this kid is going to be our new favorite Hokie. Where do I get a #45 jersey?!
I thought I heard that he left this semester...
Im down!
Hmm...most of this posts talk about new students, but no students like myself who are going back to school to study for a career change (in my case, accounting).
I can share some of my experiences coming from a deaf and older, non-traditional student.
1 - READ the syllabus! Those contain vital information on assignment dues, chances for extra credit, and resources. Do not, under any circumstance, throw it away.
2 - If you have or know someone who needs accommodation to get help, ASK! I know there's stereotype with disabilities, but you are not doing yourself or anybody else a favor by trying to hide your disability. I utilize sign language interpreting and note taking.
3 - In my point #2, volunteering to note taking is ALWAYS appreciate. It helps students like me and benefits yourself at the same time.
4 - There is NO SHAME in utilizing tutorial service and academic assistance program. They exist for a reason and that is to help you be successful in college.
I am currently enrolled at New River Community College and I hope to someday transfer to Pamplin.
I just recently was able to watch 42 and i think it did a great job of telling Jackie's story
The best baseball movie is the one that isn't made. Baseball sucks.
But Sandlot is a classic. Hard to disagree with Field of Dreams.

Moneyball was awesome, i need to be more careful before i fat finger the vote.
Not much older. I'm a grad student, turning 24 in a couple of weeks. I'd really like to see this happen, too. I've been wanting to pay some pick up football for the last year but haven't met many people who seem interested in that sort of thing.
I had Radford and jmu out of the way by the end of soph year. Giggity.
Weird, my link got eaten somehow...
I enjoyed Mr. Baseball because Japanese Baseball has always fascinated me.
My apologies good sir, tablet fingers. Someone pick me up on this one.
I'm probably older than the rest of you that agreed to the pick-up game (I'm 24), but I'm working at tech until October. I would love to get a game going a couple times a week.
I've made plans to come down to vt to recruit for my company twice next month. If i get some free time Im down. One of my favorite places to go.
Updated depth chart posted on hokiesports.com:
I don't know if my edit is showing up but: Hardball is a great baseball movie. Surprised it's not on here.
DC HOKIES represent!!
My buddy is gonna kill me for saying this but Sandlot > Bull Durham all day everyday
Edit: Hardball is a great movie (possibly Keanu's best job)
Moneyball is number one for me, one of the best movies I have ever seen.
The first film is a better movie, but the second has MUCH funnier lines. Jack Parkman and Harry Doyle were at their best.
The Back to the Minors (Major League III) wasn't terrible.
Shocked and appalled that Angels in the Outfield didn't make your list. Probably the best film of Danny Glover's career (although a solid case could be made for Pure Luck). I would also have to include Moneyball.

that was good as well.
