I think that we'll come out of the short week better off than GT since they have 4 days between UNC and VT while we're playing Marshal the week before.

The Pac-12 refs could've at least wined and dined us, before they... you know...

That call in OT still infuriates me.

I agree, and if I may......
That play, that catch, is a microcosm of what is possible, and yet what is wrong with the world.
A young upstart university dare take on one of the BIG's in college football-trounces them up and down the field, only to still lose on a controversial, and frankly bullshit call that denies the spirit of athletics it's true reward.
And to have the NCAA add language to firm up the gray area in the rule book that allowed such a travesty is a short but important step towards setting the universe back on the path towards righteousness. AND it is an admission of guilt; this rule clarification quietly states what we all knew....IT WAS A CATCH!

I know all about TKP and visit occasionally. But my participation or lack thereof has nothing to do with anything except I just don't have the time to participate. I really don't actively participate anywhere anymore other than Twitter.

Edit: I do however still stream games during the season and post highlights after each game...when there are actual highlights to be watched.

Not sure what this has to do with anything. I actually rarely post anywhere anymore, especially during the off-season. While I'm just as big as VT fan as I ever was, my online presence has decreased a lot, mainly because I just don't have the time to read/reply to stuff. I get most of my news/info via Twitter, which is where you can find me being the most active in regards to talking about VT football.

with 2 college-like offenses. I wonder if College Game Day will be there.

Whoa, is this the real VTPhreak?

Not really true. All the videos (1999-2009) from the original 130 in 130 are on the site. They just aren't listed as "130 Games in 130 Days...". Granted, you can't find them on YouTube as I have them all unlisted. Vol. 2, which I started a few months ago is covering 1993-1998 & 2010-2012 and is almost finished.

DX is heaven after midnight, but only if you're willing to gain 15 pounds by fall break like I did.

Get all your hard classes out of the way, by your final semester. That way, you can pretty much knock out your Hokie bucket list (or augment it).

Also, I don't know how I got along without long underwear when I was there. I'd recommend investing in some. Since then, I've used it many times on various job sites. Get some for the long ass cold months. Still, I learned to walk awfully fast across that campus.

Meet people, meet people meet people, and then meet more people.

Above posters have mentioned this, but take every opportunity to meet people. College is an extrememly rare time where 90% of the people you meet will be in the same boat as you: You're all in a new town, with little to no friends. Meeting more people means more friends, more opportunities to do fun stuff, more people you can go to if you need help (HW help, car troubles, personal problems -- whatever), and the more life long relationships you'll have.

College is special for a lot of reasons, but what made my five years in Blacksburg was the awesome friends I made.

I never thought I'd join a greek organization but it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

I was the same way. I'd encourage everyone to at least consider participating in Rush. If you do, you'll know the house that's right for you by the time Closed Rush rolls around. A lot of my friends from high school joined other houses, and I still remained good friends with them. But, I found lifelong brothers and always have a place to return to every time I visit Tech. Really got me involved in all sorts of Hokie events, in ways I never was before. Great tailgates and alumni events, too.

I am confused what I am wrong about? Summation:

If Teller had stayed on defense this season, he is 3rd team and a redshirt, therefore he will be the blocking dummy for the 1st and second string O during team periods. He won't be working with the defense. He will be with the offense, therefore he isn't learning our defense.

Teller on offense this season, he is the #2 left tackle, so he will be getting full indoctrination of the blocking scheme and will be working with the offense.

That is what I said above, correct? Am I taking crazy pills? If he had stayed on D, this season is a waste because he would spend the next 4 months as a blocking dummy. Being on O, he is getting a crash course on learning the system.
