I always noticed it on the right, but it clearly works with the whole stand as well.

i believe we can win. the impossible is possible.

Yah, not arguing with that. I know it happens. But the amount of 5 and 4 star recruits Alabama has wanting to sign with them compared to VT is different (at least for now). We can't compete with them on numbers of top level recruits to reload with if we move someone. For kids who are interested in being a Hokie and you see that, it could cause some alarm bells to ring.
Players moving happens regularly on all D-I programs. Alabama has moved guys around, USCw, ND, you name it. They all do it. In fact, this preseason, Alabama has moved a TE to DE, and a OT to TE. As an experiment, no less. I guarantee you that they weren't 2-star kids, but were 4/5 stars.Shuffling around will happen.
Considering that I just watched A New Hope last night, I approve.
I actually have noticed that. Although I've always just seen the VT in the 2 rightmost sections.

#2 in the 2000's. Georgia is listed ahead of VT and they did not win a Championship either.
besides your uncanny football knowledge for a Hoo, I must also commend you for your TKP username. Begrudgingly, I admit it takes some balls to use accurate adjectives, like "dandy", to refer to yourself being a LOLUVA fan, even if you try to mask it by including Dave Navarro's name as well.
Thanks for that. I've actually been a Stanford fan my whole life, so I've followed Oregon pretty closely over the past few years. Gotta say, they're gonna eat a lot of teams alive. I'm definitely interested to see how London does this year in terms of sideline antics, game management, etc. Definitely should be a fun football season all around.
Wherever he lines, he can do some damage to the opponent. I wonder if he has any brothers or cousins that can play, too?
Send my regards to the BaconLeague
Thanks. The defense is probably going to get eaten alive by Oregon. We'll run a pressure 4-3 under Tahnootah, and Oregon's offense is tailor made to attack the kind of defense he runs. Teams that slow down Oregon typically run a read and react 3-4. Here's a good story on their offense if you're interested: http://mmqb.si.com/2013/07/26/derek-mason-stanford-read-option/
London looks like he's constantly trying to figure out the mysteries of basic arithmetic on the sidelines, but hopefully NotoriousTOB can be the coach whisperer for him. Realistically, the O/U should be set at 5.5 wins. BYU is recruiting guys from their lacrosse program to put bodies in their injury riddled secondary, so I'm a little more confident than a week ago that we'll beat them. Realistically, we won't know much about this UVA team until we go to Pitt in week 5. I'm hoping that we end up bowl eligible just to get our guys the extra practices, but I'm not putting any money on it either way just yet.
No, this is an excellent point. I agree. I really hadn't even considered what that meant developmentally. My concern is more on the appearance of moving highly recruited kids around because of coaching mistakes in the past to new 5/4 star recruits. Logan went from #1 TE to QB and people are still saying he looked bad in the scrimmage. He sacrificed for the team when he may have been the #1 TE off the board in the draft and fans are still giving him shit.
Corey moving around and not focusing on one position, Teller moving to OL when he had said during his recruitment (repeatedly) that he wanted to only play defense... It's just a point of concern to me. I love team players. Sam Rogers is fast becoming one of my favorites. But 5/4 star recruits expect to reach the next level at the position they want to play at. New recruits may see that Hokies move kids to cover their ass and be turned off.
I have no inside info on these decision but neither do recruits and from the outside looking in, if I am a 5 star recruit that would worry me.
aTm also has convinced me that Bama is not invincible, even in a very pro-Bama environment.
Welcome to TKP! As a Hoo fan, what're your expectations for the season? Thoughts on Oregon? London? The defense?
I guess I'm going to have to live my life knowing the disappointment of only three turkey legs. Been lurking here for a while. By far the funniest VT site on the web.

More reality:
Alabama was one blown coverage away from being 3rd in the SEC West last season.
I respect what Alabama has done, but ESPN, CBS, and EA Sports are unable to convince me that they're invincible. Hence, the hope I have.
Look at French bein' all smart n stuff. Very, very good point here that I myself overlooked (although I'm sure very few of our educated readers here missed it. Right guys?)
Sorry, forgot to write "Sarcasm" in front of my posts. I thought it was clear. I am very open to any fan from opposing teams. Even LOLUVA. If it makes you feel better though you are welcome to downvote me in karmic trade
Well played. I probably should have reviewed my post a bit more!

Yeah, them too. I keep thinking about the vaunted LSU defense being unable to tackle at a very crucial moment in their game...
