Wait.... what? So many confusing things about this post: UVA having fans, reasonable discussions, respect, original post...

if he does go back to DL next year, that means he'll have spent an entire year learning technique he wont use again. then in the spring and fall camps, we'll be reading about how raw he is. i love guys willing to help the team, but put him somewhere and keep him there is my point. obviously these coaches and the players themselves know more than i do, but i still think finding them a position and keeping them there is ideal.

You go right ahead then. The rest of us, writers and readers alike, will continue to have hope to win. Even if the odds are against us.

Leave the "no chance at all of a victory, so why even write about it" sentiments for the Savannah State blogs.

Why are people downvoting this guy? He's come on here in a respectful manner and made an original post. No need for the hate.... Evene if he's a UVA fan, its nice to have reasonable discussion with opposing fans...

All kidding aside. Welcome! (but I still had to downvote you. I know you understand)

Holding....

Still not sure what to make of this. Satire?

Yeah, my brain's ass just burped. 'Preciate that.

Ill be living in WAJ so hopefully I can hear it from my dorm. And I plan on stopping by to check it out.

story of our lives

thats for the 2000s btw, looks like we got a couple ahead of us in the 90 with no mnc (kstate, washington)

Wait a minute.... Hold your HorseOnATreadmill's! Are you seriously a LOLUVA fan??

OL play is also critical to keeping your QB off his duff and not throwing picks.

That's what I am saying...scrimmages are fun, but the coaches are using it strictly for the team and the learning process. not to show fans their actual progress.

Anybody ever notice this about the shape of the Borth endzone stands?
GO HOKIES!!!
(and I think the who?'s counter is stucl)

I don't understand the "beating Alabama" premise of the article. I don't think anyone realistically believes we will beat Bama...it will be tough for us to even compete....so why take that approach to the analysis?

"You play to win the game." - Herm Edwards

I'll add an interesting tidbit from Ivan Maisel on his 3 pt stance blurbs...

Alabama missed being a unanimous No. 1 in the initial AP poll by two votes. While Im sure Crimson Tide fans are proud -- and probably arrogant -- it pays to beware group think (see USC, circa 2012). The biggest issue Alabama has is the loss of leadership on the offensive line. Barrett Jones, D.J. Fluker and Chance Warmack had experience in big games, and had played enough ball to make adjustments on the fly. Given the slim margin of the Tides victories over LSU and Georgia, that asset will be missed.

My first reaction was "probably arrogant"???..and as we know, OL play is critical to your offense moving the ball.

In the interview with Shane posted by 247 Sports (start at the 4:00 minute mark), he says what they showed in the scrimmage was the "first five minutes of what we put in our first meeting in August," so I wouldn't be too concerned about the lack of variety and play design. We've been practicing other things, just haven't shown them to the public yet.
