We forgot about this, but I don't think Dahman McKinnon is on the team anymore. He was suspended indefinitely after a hit and run in the spring.

I would like to see Dahman McKinnon. He was a stud in high school. Tried him at safety at first then moved him to Backer so he has intangibles of both positions with some obvious limitations. High upside in my opinion.

What are people's thoughts on this scenario to start the season now:

Kyle moves to Whip
Facyson to FC
Kendall to BC
Riley as the Nickel

Would've been nice for Manning to stick around. I don't know much about Trimble or DiNardo other than they are walk-ons. There is a part of me that thinks one will carry on the tradition of a walk-on stepping up (Sorensen, Grimm, Tyler, etc) but another part thinks that Kyle was a playmaker for us there in 11 and maybe this is a sign for him to go back there.

Edit: I just thought of this and it's a bit crazy. What if they move Dadi to Whip? If he can really run a 4.4 and they are using him as a gunner, it might work. Also could you imagine him blitzing with Gayle and Collins coming off the edges?

agree with your DVD assessment. i love what he brings to the table as a tackler but i think he would be a huge liability in coverage.

here's a weird thought....when/if exum comes back, could you see him playing whip? he's got the size, ability, and knowledge.

You're idea of Bonner at whip was better. He's a good tackler, but below average in coverage. That way we don't have 2 freshman CB's, while also hurting Kyle's draft stock playing him at whip. Desmond Frye or Der'Woune can step up and fill the FS position.
