It is not so much brain power as it is having enough experience and physicality to react and make the right play without thinking. That comes from practice, watching film, reps, and desire. Some pick up on it quicker than others and some never do even with extensive experience.
If you had any confidence in your team you'd say that if we beat the spread, you wear VT stuff, otherwise will put on our bama stuff.

My biggest fear would be if he is smart enough...but for alabama, our best game plan may be to force them to beat us through the air. A good pass rush can mask a new secondary (albeit talented). So maybe he can play whip against bama.

As VAT3CH said, he may not be cerebral enough for it. Whip has to be very intelligent and quick with decisions.

Agreed. Pushing a team hard may lead to some injuries but it also allows the tougher players to emerge. The injured players have a history of the injuries they received except for JCC. I wonder if Manning is feeling like a bit of tool right about now...
I was able to laugh at the absurdity of last season. This year may be too painful for laughter.
I thought that the Nickel essentially replaced the Whip, so it wouldn't end up with 6 DBs on the field.
That said, why couldn't Kyle just play both Nickel and Whip?

As some others mentioned I wouldn't mind seeing Dadi at least get some reps at whip. Funny how fast things can turn around I thought we were deep on Defense a couple weeks ago. Can we just all pray this is the end of preseason injuries?

Yea, I came up with that idea after the one I posted. Bonner to whip seems like the most logical move to me.
One question: Is it too late for Donaldven to change his mind and stay in Blacksburg? Or has he already passed the point of no return, or would we not welcome him back?
