From what I'm reading, the Collegiate Licensing Company handles the licensing for all the conferences, bowls, and teams in the game. They are seperate from the NCAA so, as long as EA & the schools want to keep making a college football game, this may just end up being a cosmetic change.

hopefully if a college football game continues they wont name it after a broadcaster/former coach ala Madden. I dont think i would buy a game called 'Corso 15' or 'Musburger 15'

Member colleges and universities license their own trademarks and other intellectual property for the video game. They will have to independently decide whether to continue those business arrangements in the future.

It looks like the game CAN continue, but it will no longer have the NCAA name/logo.

Probably time-consuming and not fair to ask...is there a practical way for admins to pull unrelated material into a new post when they get hijacked like this, to kinda keep the relevant stuff together in one post?

In my opinion, if Stanford doesn't, then Coles will. So I think we are probably not so far off in our thoughts. It just felt like LT3 was finding Stanford a lot in the Spring (similar to the relationship he developed with Fuller last year), and he will get a lot of looks. I don't, however, think he will lead in yards or TD's necessarily. I think he's just going to soak up a bunch of receptions...

Yeah, I guess I should have figured that out. I was thinking about Blacksburg in the summer and was thrown off as the first thing that came to mind was hardly anyone on the strip (which I'm interpreting as the half mile stretch of downtown).

They're still digging holes as of 1:00 p.m. today.

One thing that I find peculiar is what they're doing behind the east stands. They've torn up the whole hill back there (between the fence and the pavement) and are digging small holes about one foot wide. Originally I thought they were just pulling electrical lines to those transformer boxes right inside the east gate. But, now they're putting rebar reinforced concrete into those holes.

I think French pretty much has the O-positions nailed down, most debate will start up once injuries happen.

For the TB, however, I am less concerned about 1st team and 2nd team and more concerned about how Loeffler will use his backs. In years past, VT always had the preference to let an RB run an entire series. This worked fine when you had 3 RBs all capable of being the workhorse (DW, RMFW, Evans). Last year, the utilization of the RB was a complete shit-show, often running a play without even knowing who was in at RB. (Scales stretch right for no gain! JC up the middle for a loss of a yd!) Hopefully, Loeffler will use his RBs better, utilizing their skillset to the situation at hand. JC, assuming he has a decent set of hands, would be a great 3rd down back or when VT is in a passing offense (2 min, down by 10 or more in the 4th, etc.). Edmunds would definitely be the work horse in between the tackles and running out the clock when up in 4th. It's not really rocket science, but it will take some game planning and management.

NCSt is #53, which is right about the same spot. Plus they're breaking in a new head coach, new qb, and weren't exactly world-beaters last year anyway.

Wake wasn't a bowl team last year, and lost it's last three games by > 30pts. I'd say the rankings are pretty fair - there are just some poor/mediocre teams in the ACC this year...

Too bad the gif references a "jubilation damn" instead of a "frustration damn". But technically the words fit.

For anyone unfamiliar, it's from a review-turned-autotune of a guy who reviews fast food burgers, specifically the one where he reviewed Five Guys. It's pretty spectacular.
