NC State and Wake, and my heart wants to say Pitt, Duke and Maryland, but my head says no to those 3.
I was just saying "Damn" that we might not have Exum for the whole season haha. Decided to make a gif to say that.
If Brown, Harrison, and Proehl don't commit you have 4 star Cameron Phillips, 3 star Jonathan Duhart, and under the radar B.J. Farrow that are very interested in VT. B.J. Farrow had the same coach as Demitri Knowles, but Coach Rocco says B.J. is the best receiver he has ever coached. Also check out Jonathan Duhart's video from 247 sports. Pretty sweet.

that would be the one :)
+2, we just moved up 9 spots in the recruiting list and are 17 now. I don't think this has been a bad year at all, and if we get some of these last questions, I think it will be a great year. Not to mention, we are picking up momentum for the 2015 kids it sounds like.
I don't get it, but I am currently eating a Wendy's Spicy Chicken sandwich so...turkey leg for you.
I'll admit I hate VCU and I hate Smart. I'm just saying that people give them more credit than they deserve.
what team on that list is better than ECU?
Dance-off.
yeah but marquis is no trey burke. i'm not saying it's a given that they blow us out but saying you've not been impressed with vcu is kinda haterific. they're very impressive under smart.
I agree.
I think the early burns from some of the top recruits got us down (including myself), but when you look at the list of athletes we are still in the hunt for, this could still end up being one of our best, if not the best, recruiting years. February is a long way away.
...The Grotto
What size are the posters/photos?
Well, they will have Auburn...
oh no
i agree with marcus vick about something
Can't we just put Saban and Grimes (representing Beamer; let's face it the man's old and in no condition for physical combat) in a room and let em fight? I'd pay to watch that for sure.
[considers both viewpoints, glances at VT roster/last season stats, reaches conclusion]

Wake and NCSt have also been on there already... I just didn't post them as they aren't opponents and I didn't want to spam the discussions feed with it...
I agree that Saban isn't the type to take his daughter lightly in a game of checkers....that being said, Blue Collar Hokie has it correct that the players on the field are the determining factor in whether a team ends up with a W or L. I remember footage from last summer of Saban stalking through the first few practices of camp shouting something to the effect of "I can guarantee you that those Michigan players aren't walking through drills!" But I remember how a certain Hokie team took Pitt too lightly last year after they dropped one to Youngstown State, in spite of CFB's (and I assume the rest of the staff's) warnings about how good Pitt was. So if the players are all lost in thought about how they're going to dismantle Johnny Football and the boys from aTm, let'em dream....we'll be ready.
Weaver seems to think so since we signed a 50 year deal with them
I guess I feel differently. Sure we've had some bad news along the way, but Grimey is recruiting the hell out of the OL, which historically we suck at, and we've have some solid guys already commit (Reavis, Ford, Harrison, Williams, Mihota). I think desperate is a strong word and comes more from a fan standpoint than a coaching/recruit standpoint. I think we are well positioned for some guys and when its all said and done we will have a solid class.
Don't get me wrong, I would love nothing more than Nnadi, Walker, Brown, et al. to do the right thing and commit right now, but unfortunately I think we are going to be waiting for a bit on that.
I still find it hard to believe that CFB would have allowed Weaver to pull us from the game. I think that's bogus reporting started by Louisville to bolster their stock in the public eye.

Sorry to be a debbie downer, but I believe most of that 9 spot jump was due to Holland Fisher, C. Jefferson, and DJ Reid being re-classified as 2014 recruits, since they didn't qualify.
Having said that, I am pretty optimistic about the outlook of the rest of this class. As mentioned above, we are in good position with a lot of 4* recruits. Even with our misses, this could end up being one of our better classes in the last decade.
