They can't have Enter Sandman because of licensing, but you can add it yourself using Stadium Sounds.
Is the Hokie Stone still super huge at the beginning of the game?
Hopefully Moorehead is good at converting former qb's to wr. If so, Caleb and Parker will be two big bodies for us at wr. Fortunately for us, we only have one senior this year, so the drop-off shouldn't be too huge next year.
The Mike London film series is back?
Great Article, as always!
I too have Season Ticket and I agree with almost every thought you have. I haven't noticed too many shoestring tackles, but that's it. I agree that Logan Thomas is a beast in this game. His accuracy is much higher than last year and the new read option is fun and easy with him. I've even had some bone crushing hits that we are accustomed to seeing with him.
This is kind of off topic. Anyways, I was bummed to see the that Lane Stadium did not have the larger scoreboard. However, I guess this is because we don't know what the final product will look like until its completed in August.
I still wish they played Enter Sandman at the beginning of the games, but I guess I'll just have to play it on my own.
They do have "Let's Go" "Hokies" at the beginning of the games and kickoffs.
I wish they would hire a student or someone passionate about each college's football team, so that there are more authentic stadiums and crowds.
Reminds me of this article I posted in May, based on a Charlottesville Daily Progress article.

I still think that article needs to be shown to every in-state recruit that even sniffs LOLUVA.
I always wondered if there was a Bama site similar to TKP. Not sure if this is it but it provides a little more insight into the strengths of their lbs: http://bamahammer.com/2013/07/03/2013-alabama-crimson-tide-preview-lineb...
My thought is they will try to put all the pressure on LT by stopping the run game. Any time you can try to make one player shoulder the load it is an advantage to the D. Pressure creates mental mistakes. Players trying to outplay their capabilites and create something can sometimes succeed but normally it goes against the game plan and cause things to blow up. "Don't outkick your coverage" is an appropriate metaphor. AL will not because they are disciplined. The key to the game will be adjustments made by the coaching staffs.
Wow...more cville area folk on here than I thought! We all know the insufferable wahoo twits (wait....is that an oxymoron?) that give us those wonderful opportunities to skewer them. Still the easiest way to shut the average hoo up is to ask "Gee, what was the score of last year's football game?"
Grimes' twitter account is awesome. I recommend a follow

These guys are good but Mike London's real problem is that it's awfully tough to win without a quarterback.
I was gifted EA Season Ticket so have been playing the game since Thursday. Thoughts:
- Physics Engine is much better.
- Downfield blocking exists.
- Way too many shoestring tackles.
- Logan Thomas is unstoppable on the read-option.
- Running the ball is actually fun. You can break multiple tackles in a row and keep running (it's not that easy to, but it happens once in a while...a la Darren Evans).
- Recruiting is less time consuming. So far I'd say it's a little bit tougher to get commitments until your guys come in on visits. Haven't made it to the offseason yet though...I've heard that if you don't have a lot of commitments and have to spread out your points in the offseason, you're toast.
- Beating Bama, WVU and LOLUVA in one season is pretty fun.
Any other questions, feel free to ask. I've heard that the Free Uniform Shop DLC is supposed to be much better this year, but not getting my hopes up.
In London's defense, he IS building a dynasty. It just so happens that his dynasty is one of mediocrity and significantly under-developing talent. Of course it isn't his fault entirely. The standard they hold him to is that of mediocrity. Sadly IF London went to 3-4 straight bowls that would be a "dynasty" and he would get a statue.
It's my work machine; a Windows 8 machine and I want to say it's 1360 (if not 1600).
I will try and remember to check tomorrow. I am not having any issues with this machine, though (Windows 8, Firefox 22, 1600x900 (also reduced to 1360 and 1280 and had no issues).
Edit:
The horizontal resolution was actually 1920. I changed the default font size from 16 to 14 and it looks good now. I will check my other machines to see what they are set at.
Are we going to have official Game Day threads for each game? If so, maybe we can link to that thread in the schedule.
I just ditched the Bionic and grabbed the Galaxy S4. I am so happy with that decision.
It's funny, I work in Charlottesville too and I am constantly amazed at how little anyone ever mentions football. Baseball and basketball, sure...they get discussed at a reasonable level. What I see regarding UVA football is almost shame. It is never brought up. There is one pretty serious UVA football fan in our office, and when he walks around trying to discuss UVA football, people literally look at him like they don't know what he's talking about. I have often heard someone say, "Did you see the game this weekend?" and the response be, "Who'd they play?"
I even went to a Chamber of Commerce lunch last summer where London was the speaker, and on the ride back to the office, the only comment (literally, the only comment) was this, "Wow, he's not a very good speaker."
Hey French -- Excellent as usual.
Can you do a write-up of sorts of how Bama played their D (and O) against us back in 09? Do you think they'll follow the same type of game plan against LT and our offense / running game now vs how they did it vs TT and our offense / running game then?
Recruit rankings are dubious for lineman, including DL. Even Rivals research says so. Projections for making the NFL are better for 2-3 stars.

If you don't remember Lawrence Taylor, he was in the highlight at the beginning of "The Blind Side," destroying Joe Theissman's career.
If you haven't seen "The Blind Side," it's playing on the Lawn at UVA this Saturday.

what do you mean without a QB....they have like 12
