i'm currently looking into making an Exum centaur one as well. If anybody else wants a specific player, just let me know and I can work on it. Also, if anybody wants Madden ones, I try those too. Those are relatively easy to find online, but if it's not a popular player you want, I can see what I can do.
I don't really like the helmet as is, but the jersey looks great. Hokie Stone would be a really cool addition to the uniforms.
This line must gel quickly, and play with a purpose and sense of urgency every time they take the field. Grimes said it best, "Tip of the Spear."
I think it's good that Farris starts as Center, because that's where he played at the end of the season. Miller can be the utility linemen, should Farris get hurt. Grimes has shown in the past he knows how to get results, and I trust his judgment. Wang just can't stay healthy, so no telling what contributions he may be able to make this final season. It's nice to see Grimes holding players accountable for their performance, just like Foster and Wiles have done with the D-line. Seniority and experience won't cut it anymore. Now it's all contingent on the players' dedication, effort, and performance.
looks awesome, love the fighting gobbler helmet
that's different, i meant the national publications you see in food lion all summer.
hokie annual for father's day huh? i might have to start dropping hints. . .
I'm pretty good at photoshop. I'll clean the uni up later once I'm done with my final. I like the concept, though.
I like this English Premier League idea. Anything to rid us of playing Boston College every year.
As far as the helmets go, I'd go for the solid maroon, make the VT larger, with hokiestone inside the VT, bounded by orange. I like the uni concept, though.
Maybe a hokiestone stripe down the side of the pants, bounded by a thin orange stripe?
Nice, thanks for doing this. Personally I would have moved LT3 a bit off-centered to the left, but I think that's just me trying to repress the memory of the Russell Athletic Bowl. It doesn't seem fair that of the two bowls I've gotten to go to, I got to see the winningest loss (IT WAS A CATCH) and the losingest win. Then again, it's pretty damn awesome to do the Hokie Pokie in front of 66,000+ people.
This WR group reminds me of the year that Boykin, Coale, and Roberts were all freshmen and getting significant minutes. I think we'll see some early struggles from the group (remember when almost half-way through that season no WR had caught a TD pass?) but the early playing time in their careers will pay huge dividends down the road. Knowles, Caleb, Stanford could all end up with 4 years of experience by the time they leave.
Looking forward to how Moorehead shapes these young men over that time frame.
Make it a PS3 cover and it's going on my copy of the game.
JOKES. THINGS THAT MAKE YOU LAUGH. ENJOY THEM MORE THAN YOU DO.
Gratuitous, look it up, because you don't know what it means.

Credit where it is due: Weaver has done an excellent job of scheduling non-conference games.— THE KEY PLAY (@thekeyplay) May 9, 2013

Nice article, Joe. But the gratuitous shot at Jim Weaver detracted from it, IMHO. Weaver has done a great job over the years of scheduling marquee out-of-conference games for us.
Nebraska, LSU, Southern Cal, Wisconsin, Alabama, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Boise State ... and now Michigan.
That's a pretty damn good lineup.
Robert Brown is Hok, er, um, Blazer strong... too soon? Wait, not soon enough! In all seriousness though, I wish the best for the Liddle family as they fight cancer, and good luck to Brown at UAB. I had high hopes for him as he was the only Hokie athlete I know I made a burger for in my semester working at DX.
I like em.
I don't know. My wife has gotten me the Hokie annual for father's day for the past two years, and I have really enjoyed it.
I had a class with Bailey last fall. Seems to be a really nice girl, and I'm glad to see this story.
maybe a more narrow stripe on the helmet. i like the jersey it looks cool but could be tweaked. it could definitely work though. i like the idea a lot
I see what you did there with the "Liddle" sisters....very clever...if I could +1 you I would.
On a more serious note, this is a great story. I always found sports to be a good getaway when I was growing up.
Great story. This stuff and the "My Wish" series are about the only things that I like from ESPN.

The major problem I would have with this type of setup would be the loss of rivalry games. When LOLUVA inevitably gets demoted, we won't get to beat up on them every year, and I for one enjoy watching it.
