Saw this the other day, and I laughed

You're breaking my 1 rule on sports betting. Never bet on your team. Good luck to you.
Do they have the moneyline up yet? I'm not on 5dimes, but I was wondering if they already had that up. I'd waste a little bit of money for that payoff, even if it is my own team.
even michigan fans will tell you we won that game
even their coach said it was a catch
i better stop dwelling on it
As someone who grew up not too far from Ann Arbor (and despises them), I'm so glad we get another shot at them!

I love it. There's a chance to get a little redemption, Michigan and the Big House are one of those must do trips in college football, and it'll be a perfect boost to the non-conference schedule as far as the playoff is concerned.
If I am alive, I'll be there.
No Pac-12 refs!
I mean, what else are you gonna do with a tight end? play them at tight end? no thats what we have our flop de's for
Hot damn. I will certainly be there (I'm 45 minutes from Ann Arbor).
You'd be hard pressed to find any Hokie fans that don't like the move. Now the more serious issue is making sure a certain ref doesn't accidentally find his way onto the field in the Michigan home game.
It was a catch!!!!
Dang...he was always one of the strongest guys on the team. Sad to see him go and best of luck to him.
Funny, I seem to remember everyone who comes to play for the joker gets killed...
Hmmm I'm thinking OT, or maybe qb since he's athletic. What about y'all?
Definitely a great find here and the kid has a basketball background as well which always bodes well for the TE position.
Finkle is Einhorn, Einhorn is Finkle!
Maybe it's related, maybe it's not, but Harris had this to say this morning
Media loves to twist words around Smh it's okay tho amen— Drew Harris™ (@Hollacide) May 9, 2013
Does itmean that Norm misunderstood him? Is he referring to something else? We may never know, but this saga has been a roller coaster. I only hope it clears up for him soon.

Norm Wood put all the information out there in a really nice read: http://www.dailypress.com/sports/colleges/virginia-tech/dp-spt-tech-drew....
"It looks like I might have to take the Cam Newton route at this point," said Harris Jr. of heading to junior college.
"At this point, I can't afford to sit here and stress. I've got to go out and do what I've got to do."
At the very least, Harris Jr. just wants to know if the NCAA will let him play Division I football. He had his transcript flagged in January by the NCAA Clearinghouse, and was told the courses he'd taken at Fork Union Military Academy wouldn't count, according to his father.
Now, Harris Jr.'s head is spinning. He and his father are hoping to get a waiver from the NCAA by August on the grounds that they were ill-advised in Harris Jr.'s academic pursuits, but neither is are optimistic the waiver will come by the time Harris Jr. would have to enroll at a Division I program for the fall semester.
That doesn't sound too good.
Ahh, I misread their listing. I thought Lynch was gone.
So basically what you're saying is Kansas State is going to get a helluva tailback?

I still show people his recruiting photo. He was/is a MANCHILD. Best of luck to him...
Obviously this is a reflection of where our basketball program has fallen.
If JJ isn't able to rattle off some wins early, both in the season, and during ACC play, then things could really spiral out of control. Unlike football, the majority of hoops fans are fair-weather, and I say that as someone who never paid attention to the basketball team until my senior year (2004-05). Cassell was pretty empty toward the end of last season, and I'm afraid that's only going to get worse if the team doesn't show improvement.
I have hope that JJ can get the job done, and at least trend us in the right direction by season's end. At this point, I'm 100% behind JJ, because he's trying to change the culture, bring in, and develop talent. No coach can work through that overnight. If we only win a few ACC games again, don't see better defense, improved fundamentals, then it's going to be harder to defend him.
A blessing in disguise, we have an extra spot on the schedule to play who we want, either a winnable game or something to boost our RPI in the non-conference, so it's not all bad.
Next year will be worse than last year. Having been to nearly every game for the past 4 years, this will be the worst VT basketball team in years. I've played with some of the players in McComas lately - Quis is barely 6 foot, Marcus Patrick is maybe 5-9, and our "big" guys aren't even that big. We will have the smallest team in the ACC and be absolutely destroyed by most if not all ACC teams.

How far we've come. Those of you old enough to remember "Schedule for Success" in the mid 90's remember hearing "Teams like Michigan won't schedule us for home and homes."
