Can someone copy/paste that so we don't have to give her the click?
"They’ve always had an edge on defense. We want to have the same on offense"
Sounds like he's on the right track.
bwhahaha! +1
Wiles said Harley needs to lose about 10-12 pounds. Says he's not quick enough to play DT at his current weight.
I knew I remembered him! I went to elementary school with him. I remember one time he caused a kid to have a concussion by slamming his head on the bus' window. Now, that was a long time ago, and I'm sure he's matured. I didn't really hear or see much about him outside of that incident, so hopefully that was isolated.
would titus young, a 2nd round draft pick like 2 years ago, being arrested 3 times in one week which includes twice in one day be good enough for this? or since he didn't serve any real jail time should we just keep him on the honorable mention?
Excellent work!
Maybe you just need asterisks to denote that they are only those characters before future seasons were created!
apparently hes been inconsistent, i believe wiles said in an interview that he "spends too much time on the ground." my guess is that wiles thinks he cant give you more than just a few snaps at a time. whether thats effort or fitness or both im not really sure
In his Article, Progress is Slow, But Sure French said the following:
"Defensive line has been a real head scratcher this spring...We have Charley Wiles absolutely destroying Kris Harley in interviews and burying him on the depth chart, despite a scrimmage where he was dominant with the backups against the number one offense...The defensive line MUST be dominant for the Hokies to have an ACC-championship caliber season, and that requires at least two groups of starter quality down linemen. Right now, it is hard to determine if Wiles is sending a bunch of messages, but if the current depth chart is indicative of performance, some guys who must be contributors are not pulling their weight right now, and that deeply worries me going into the matchup with Alabama."
Do you know what specifically the coaches don't like about Harley's Spring? His effort? Off the field issues? Or were Smith/Barron just that much better than Harley?
haha, well i am certainly open for suggestions
yes! i have been screaming for Hokiestone on the uniforms since we started being uniform whores! All hokie stone uniforms! #Limestoneeffect2014!!!
I don't like that in this Lefty will end up dead and Shane will betray his country...
My understanding is that Gray is the Passing Game Coordinator for the Defense and Loeffler handles the offensive side of the passing game. Its a little confusing because of the terminology used, but if you look at the roster page on HokieSports both Grimes and Wiles are listed as Running Game Coordinators, which leads me to think that Wiles Coordinates the Run Defense, Gray the Pass Defense, Grimes the Running Offense, and Loeffler the Passing Offense.
Otherwise pretty good, granted that my knowledge of 24 is limited to the episodes I've been around for when other people were watching.
I am so STOKED about both of these men! Please, can we have both of them?
"Da'shawn could be the greatest player in the history of the game"? We'd be stacked for book-ends for the all-time hokies team with Hand and Bruce Smith. (^8
That helmet is pretty bad ass!
Despite a loss to eventual ACC Champion NC State on Friday in the semifinals, we were selected for the NCAA Tournament. We are the 3rd seed in a regional hosted by the University of Kentucky with Kentucky, Notre Dame (2nd seed), and Marshall (4th seed). We will play Notred Dame first.
Also of note is that we played 11 teams that made the NCAA Tournament this year, 8 of which are outside the ACC. We had wins over 6 of them as well.
Congrats VTSB!!
I like it, I hereby renounce my helmet design!
Yeah, I was trying to follow the contour of the helmet, kinda like what UCF has on their new lids (pictured). But now that I look at it, a truncated stripe would probably work better.
Hoooooly Cow.
Those pass rushing sessions were awesome. Was without pads, and I'm not sure how good the competition was... So it's impossible to take anything of substance away from it (other then confirmation that yes, Nnadi is very good).
Still. Dude can play.
I liked the sound of what you said, but when I took out the white, it didn't look nearly as crisp. I think the white makes the logo "pop" more because of the contrast.
I like this picture a lot. He's got on the maroon and orange too.
The kid to the right goes by the name of Tyler Powell btw. 3 star dt with an offer from wisconsin - no offer from Beamer & co yet

Still some flaws in the system, see Auburn 2009-2011. They went 7-5 in 2009, and in the 'Premier league model' could have fallen to the second tier league (five way tie for second to last place in the SEC, so not sure they actually would've fallen). Assuming they did fall, they wouldn't have the chance to play in 2010 National Title game.

I think when he saw that he didn't make the team he decided to just go for another arrest and see what happens. He's definitely working his way from practice squad to the game day team. That kind of effort is definitely noticed by the coaching staff.
