Yes! Thank you!

At this point, I could honestly care less where my seats are or whether I have first dibs or not. I just want to be there and support! (Although, good seats would be icing on the cake)

they'll have first dibs but it was announced at the spring game that there will be a public sale in june.

great thing about being in the MV's is never having to worry about tickets :)

It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for 'em.

Oh, and I forgot to specify at the beginning of the article, but a player's "slashes" following their names are (batting average/on base percentage/slugging percentage)

I agree not being able to take a game against UNC was disappointing, but that's what happens when you try to out-slug the best offensive team in the country.
I also agree that our middle infield has been a disappointment this season. The only reason I can come up with that Brendon Hayden is playing second is because we need to have his bat in the lineup and he doesn't really fit anywhere else. The other option at second base is freshman Matt Dauby, who has actually impressed me quite a bit this year, but does have 8 errors on the season.
Sadly, we really don't have a better shortstop option than Perez (at least that I've seen). He has great range at short and an above average arm, but he certainly doesn't have the hands for the position. Pinder has played some short in key situations this year, but he is our best defensive option at third so it is tough to justify that move too often. I have noticed that Coach Hughes seems to like the double play combination of Pinder and Perez so they will occasionally move Hayden to third for the play to allow those two to try and work the GDP in the middle infield.

That UNC series was a huge letdown, so hopefully they can pull it together and take 2 of 3 from UVA. What's the deal with our 2nd baseman? They were switching him around to avoid being hit to, is that something we should expect to keep seeing?

And one more thing, do we really not have a better shortstop than Perez? He is an average to below average fielder and is batting sub-.200

Can't use any university facilities, which includes weight room and practice fields. If a group of players organized a workout at, say, a local park, he could do it. But any field under the team's control, he can't.

Since the unofficial summer workouts are just that...unofficial, does anyone know if Holmes is allowed to participate in those? Is there any rule saying that since he is banned from the team he can't be in the athletic facilities or use the practice field with the team? Obviously he has other options if he can't, but it makes it much harder if you are having to do solo workouts during the offseason. Would give him a disadvantage coming into the official summer practices assuming everything pans out and he is reinstated.

If I remember correctly, the ACC tournament is 8 teams; top 2 from each division, and four best conference records after that. If this is correct, and the season ended today, Tech would squeeze into the last seed. That being said, after this weekend's series against a very good UVA team, Tech has two more conference series against teams that are below .500 in conference (Boston College (6-34, 0-20 ACC) and Wake Forest (24-20, 7-14). So if we were able to avoid a sweep this weekend, I'd venture to say that chances would be very good that you'd see Tech playing in Durham.

What do the Hokies realistically need to do down the stretch to qualify for the ACC tournament? If i remember correctly its the top two teams from each division and then the 6 best teams after that, regardless of division correct? If the season ended right now they are in right? Thanks for your features.

Rody was the primary QB on white, and he did look good. Jessop, if I remember right, also looked decent, but I don't feel he played anywhere as much as Rody

Who impressed me the most, surprisingly, was the backup QB.(Connor Jessup?) He made some awesome throws.

If i remember correctly in a video not long after the 2010 ACC Championship game she mentioned how Tech fans were hounding her because she had no VT gear in the background of her vids then she said it was coming soon.... almost 3 years later still waiting and giving up.

That's great news. I know some of the reviews posted here have been critical of Miller, but by all accounts he's the leader of the group and an extremely hard worker. He had a great sophomore year, and I hope he can work himself back to 100% shape/health and really have a great fall camp.

During the post-spring game interview, Logan said he was going to lead he organized workouts. So thats a great sign

Not sure how to embed it but on twitter McGlaughlin told Derrick Hopkins that "coach Andrew Miller" sent out a text. Wonder if he was just rallying the o-line or the offense as a whole. Great to see either way.

I saw that too. I wonder who is organizing the workouts. If it's coming from Logan Thomas, bravo! That's exactly what I hope to continue until summer when they reopen again for fall camps.

I also hope that Thomas treat the OL to cookout and beer because it's very important for a quarterback to have absolute confidence in the OL's ability to protect him and MASH, MASH, and MASH SOME MORE!

I'm channeling my inner B.A. Barracus!
