I could see getting both Cornwell and Park as somewhat bad, because between those two and Bucky, I think we'd be so stocked at QB talent eventually lose one. So getting one of them would be great, while there could be some upside to getting both, I think it would mean losing someone in the long run.
In any case, either of them + Bucky would be interesting QB battles to watch for sure.
In fact I am starting to regret joining this website...it just makes me frustrated...we better #beatbama like...I...know...we...will...
Our biggest aid in landing Derrick Nnadi is Mr. Joel David "JC" Coleman. They both are from the same high school and I also think Coleman played host on Nnadi's unofficial.
As long as we get either Cornwell or Park I'm content. Having both may be a bad thing. Maybe not.
Over/Under 3.5 commitments this weekend?
i think we get Nnadi and maybe one other UVA prospect after they have another losing record this year. Nnadi dad was a hokie and it is pretty hard selling building of a program if the best you can do in 4 years is maybe a .500 season
Wow god I remember that pass interference it was total bullshit...years later my roommate who is a USC grad claims it never happened what a nightmare...Being a hokie is tough we have had to stomach some serious bullshit...
Heard Noah Brown and Ryan Izzo from NJ
Hearing Hand, Park, and Revis will be there.
Looking forward to it. I will be in tow with questions about the mystery fullbacks I keep seeing working with the ones
I'm kinda glad that I wasn't a VT fan back then because I might have put something through my TV. It is indescribable how bad that call was. What makes me even more pissed, is how the commentators are sure the refs are right, and then don't even back down that much when they see the replay. Grow a pair.
Remember when the NFL suspended Jim Tressel for trying to leave his OSU job for an NFL job in order to avoid the NCAA suspension? Well let's see if Goodell has the balls to do it to Chip Kelly, because the reports are that he was directly involved in the cheating.
I'd let them tackle me anytime!
While that is totally true, it's also not totally fair. Frank has 85 scholarships to dish out (for 22+ positions), Seth had 12 (I think?... not as clear on basketball - for 5 positions). You can hide a hard worker, practice squad kind of guy on a football team a lot easier than you can hide the same at the end of your bench in NCAA basketball. That said, the Curry's weren't exactly just practice squad guys in the end. So maybe it speaks to Seth's evaluation skills. But they didn't exactly have killer offer lists, so not too many people projected them correctly.
I sense a "worst call in VT football history" thread and/or bracket coming up...
and a loluva insider
I'm still bitter about the GT game in '09 when the ref turned the ball, incidentally causing the once short measurement on 4th down to reach the marker and give the other nerds the first down.
That's up there with the Danny Coale catch as worst calls in VT history.
The active period started Monday, meaning coaches can call recruits. Virginia Tech is just getting after it early.
#VirginiaTech was the first school to call me at 6:30 this morning !!!!— Cj Reavis1⃣1⃣ (@C_Reavis11) April 15, 2013
I thought about 2004, and I considered it a push, not a downgrade. Either way, that has to be one of our most regrettable losses of all-time. This call still pisses me off.
Yeah, that was one of the better films I've seen. He's a physical runner with all great athleticism. Rivals had him as a 4-star, 247 as a five. I wonder what level of competition he faced.
Anyone got a list of recruits that will be there?
i graduated in may 2008. because of my work schedule i havent been able to make it back on april 16 since my senior year. i went to blacksburg yesterday and took my dog so we could just walk around campus. tears came and went but it was good to be back. i spoke with some vt police who were everywhere, but the best thing about being back was seeing all you current students in maroon and orange (which is one of the reasons i wanted to go to vt), and just the sense of being part of something so much bigger than me. i know the 16th has almost always fallen in the middle of the week but for you alumni who have the chance try to get back next year. campus has changed a bit, but it really helped me during a really hard time for all of us.
Even one of the Michigan Insiders picked VT.
Man, it almost looks like in half of these highlights they just go and directly snap it to him....
Crazy
he may be healed by the game but a broken tibia will prolly set him back a little bit if I were bama I'd redshirt the kid just to make sure hes 100% by the time he can play

In the second quarter, Randall burned the Trojans with his arm. He went 5-for-5 for 65 yards during a 10-play, 80-yard drive that culminated with a 12-yard touchdown pass to Josh Hyman. The 17½-point underdog Hokies, unranked entering the season for the first time since 1998, took a 10-7 lead into halftime.
The Hokies had things going their way in the second half, too, until an offensive pass interference call on Hyman wiped out a long gain and led to a punt.
"The momentum just switched right there," Randall said.
USC took advantage on the next possession, sending Bush deep for the lead.
