Yeah, that is who they signed instead. Trust me, that is the same sentiment throughout most of the athletic department. It amazes me on some of the stories that I hear from some of the people around the program or former players/coaches from the Greenburg era.

I also worked my ass off in high school and entered college with 25 credit hours from AP and IB tests, so that helped a bunch.

But yeah, I can understand the hate.

Did y'all know Mihota's brother played for UVA? I think he graduated last year

Also, person who got laid out looked to be Charley Meyer. Malleck was in pass protecting.

Interesting to see the walk-on Meyer getting so many reps with what looks to be first team.

Have you ever seen Oregon run a bubble screen? See how effective it is? Hint: It's not cause of the speed of the guy with the ball. Even as a "finesse" team (utter bs, IMHO), those receivers block, and they block, and they block some more. Then, they get the ball and their buddies block for them. That's how they're successful. The bubble screen is a good play, IF (and only if) the guy who doesn't have the ball is an effective blocker.

I'm excited to see Taraschke this weekend in person I think he has kinda been a sleeper with most of the focus being on the left tackle battle and Miller moving around.

Loved the two throws down the field to tight ends. It looked like the first was McCray and the second one was Malleck. I would love to see a lot of patterns with the tight ends attacking the seams and getting involved in the vertical passing game. We have the athletes to do it.

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD CAN WE STOP THROWING BUBBLE SCREENS? At least there was good blocking. Ryan Malleck also is catching things (YAY).

Also, dat hit.

EDIT: It seems like the 1st team OLine was McLaughlin-Shuman-Farris-Taraschke-Gibson. I'm very surprised to see that Miller and Benedict weren't on the field.

I know they're highlights, and the bad plays were probably cut, but the offense looked really crisp. I think both Mark Shuman and Jonathan McLaughlin need to be starters this season for us to be successful. Although, I predicted McLaughlin to be the one to move to guard not Shuman. I still don't think anything is permanent, and this is more shuffling by Grimes.

I still think Ike should hold far more blame in that whole mess than Glennon. Glennon wasn't suppossed to start. He was just suppossed to backup Ike, who was suppossed to be Marcus' heir. Unfortunately, Ike couldn't learn the playbook/stay out of trouble and Glennon had to step in. Not his fault 2 starting qbs ahead of him washed out.

If Ike had lived up to his billing, we would have gone seamlessly from Marcus, to Ike, to Tyrod (who would have redshirted).

It's taking every once of self-control I possess to not down-vote you right now...

French pointed this out in his scrimmage review, but it looks like Logan has two reads on both sides of the field on most passing plays - - a deep option, and a short / intermediate option. Just as importantly, each read is designed to be available sequentially. This passing attack would make O'Cainspringsomes head explode.

...and the shuffle continues. We will have our 5 best linemen on the field for Bama no doubt in my mind

The second to last play on the out pattern to Coles, Taraschke pancakes Nigel Williams like a rag doll

Interesting to see Shuman working in at left guard and Taraschke continuing to rep with the 1's the shuffle continues. Thanks for posting.

This post is absolutely brilliant. When/if Notre Dame ever becomes a full member they could probably be the Unsullied. The "crests" were hilarious. Thanks for putting the time and effort into this.

That was me... never had classes 5 days a week, with either Tuesday and Thursday off or Monday and Friday off, every single semester after freshman year. And freshman year I had Fridays off.

You would have had a blast in freshman architecture/design studio then as it was 8-noon MWF. That was probably a positive experience as I never complained about early classes after, and even started to like finishing my classes as early as possible (regular classes after 5:30 PM became my most hated). Still, I did feel a little rage toward the students who only had classes two days a week or never had a class on Friday throughout college.

I think they signed Nigel Munson instead. Also, there is not an emoticon sufficient to express my sadness at the thought of missing out on Stephon Curry because of Nigel Munson.

If the series does justice to the books, Ellaria Sand going to have something to say about this draft [assuming she makes the cut].
