Was watching Loeffler coach the QBs on drop backs and rollouts some earlier. Logan looked pretty good and of the rest, Carlis Parker stood out to me a little, though that is easy for him to do being the only lefty QB on the roster.
I will be very interested to see what the future of Tech basketball will be - it's unfair to blame JJ for the attrition as he inherited a program with 8 scholarship players and hasn't had a chance to leave any imprint. I'm of the opinion that a coach should at least be given a three to four year window to prove his worth... it is important to see how a player develops under one guy and that goes a long way in foretelling long-term success.
JJ will have an uphill battle ahead of him though - at the moment, VT is not a destination for high-profile basketball players so he will have to get creative. If I were him, I would use the lure of immediate playing time and big minutes as a recruiting tool. Big-time recruits want to play right away and JJ can offer that to guys right now... I personally dislike the influx of one-and-dones in the game today, but there's no denying the impact a player like that could have on a program. If it means an NCAA tournament appearance, that's something to build upon as another recruiting tool.
Regardless, VT has an enormous amount of work to do if they want to right the ship. With the additions of Syracuse, Pitt and Notre Dame to the ACC next year, there's a probability we'll be looking at a 15th place finish.
There are about 7 courses on Islam offered at tech. Mostly taught by a Phd in Islamic Studies.
As well as an Elementary Arabic course as well.
The "VAH" tech really irritates me. If it was common to do that, why doesn't anyone refer to GT as "GAH" Tech?

I think Nick Acree could definitely move past Wang, if he stays healthy, because it's a given Wang won't be.
I seem to remember RMFW being overweight at the start of the '09 season. As long as someone can still move well, I really don't think extra pounds are an issue.
I think it's just really hard to stay in shape for some people when you have bad wheels. He hasn't been able to condition because of the knee. I bet he slims down quite a bit when fall camp comes.
He's always looked like he's played hard to me and this is his last chance to try to make a career out of football being a go to guy.

I really hope we see Joel Caleb move up (not that I want anyone above him to fail or anything). Also really just want to hear good things about the OGs. And it would be nice to hear that Riley/Manning/Tookes are doing well.
Cornerback could change if none of the sophs/r-fresh make an impression this spring and some of the incoming freshmen do some work in the fall.
Taraschke could end up like Mike Via and be a utility linemen and move up for either spot.
Especially after reading that JC was Beamer's choreographer for the Harlem shake video.
