we made the road trip down for this game. We were in the upper corner of the end zone going nuts when this happened, rally caps and all. it was outstanding. one of my favorite away game VT memories for sure.

The 2007 Men's Soccer season. They made it to the College Cup (aka the Final Four of the Men's Soccer NCAA Championships) even though they started off the season unranked and a loss to VCU.
Not really a "moment" but Danny Coale, being opened all day vs. FSU in the 2010 ACCCG. What other moment has sparked such great tag lines as "I'm gonna go Danny Coale a beer"?

and it was awesome. Me and my VT BFF were in the middle of a huge throng of WVU fans, holding hands as only straight men at sporting events do. After the victory we inconspicuously left the stadium to the F-Yous and worse and went to Morgantown's finest restaurant, Applebees, and talked shit to Mountaineer fans the rest of the night.
A follow up great moments of this season was the trouncing of BC to confirm our place in the Sugar Bowl and the 3rd quarter of the Sugar Bowl.
The entire 4th quarter was insane. With Georgia Tech up 17-7, Reggie Ball accidentally ran out of the back of his own end zone near the end of the 3rd quarter. Then something just switched on for Randall and the rest of the team, while GT looked as though we'd just mentally destroyed them.
25 points in the 4th quarter. 3 TDs in 4 1/2 minutes. Still have this game on DVD.

2007 ACC Championship Game: Duane Brown blocks an extra point and Brandon Flowers takes it the other way for two points, shifting the entire game's momentum.
Who's the white guy? Dancing is clearly not his forte.
Deron Washington over Paulus was a moment I'll never forget. Also made for some great chants and props for the years after.

I feel your pain with being the losingest VT student. Between 4 years of IM basketball (mens and co-rec) and flag football I never won a game. In mens basketball our closest game was a 42 pt loss, and the biggest loss was by 96. We gave up triple digits 4 times. Guess that is what happens when you get your friends together that never played basketball beyond 8th grade and you have to score all of the points.
