Pretty sure he is gonna be our next breakout star at running back. The coaches were impressed by his practices in preparation for the bowl game. Why would he move?
Our catcher lead the team in stolen bases?!
Per Baseball America's ACC preview, the Hokies are projected to be an NCAA tournament team. 3B Chad Pinder (#3) and OF Tyler Horan (#5) are listed in the ACC's top 15 draft prospects for 2013, and should both be top 3-5 round picks at least. Horan is also rated as the highest raw power in the league with Pinder the best defensive 3B.
Their other notes (none of this was behind the paywall, FYI):
Virginia Tech has only made one regional appearance as a member of the conference, in 2010, but a failure to reach the postseason this year would be a big disappointment.
The Hokies return the league's most potent offense with a nice balance of right- and lefthanded hitters, power and speed. Just Florida State and Georgia Tech hit more homers than the Hokies among ACC teams last year, and most of Virginia Tech's power is back.
Bullish Jr. LF Tyler Horan is a college Greg Luzinski with brute power and a home run track record (15 last season, record-tying 16 in the Cape Cod League).
Jr. 3B Chad Pinder and Sr. CF Andrew Rash hit seven homers apiece last year, while So. C Mark Zagunis hit .344 with five homers while providing a team-best 17 stolen bases.
They'll need to improve on the league's ninth-best team ERA (4.16), looking for help from JC transfer Jr. Brad Markey out of Santa Fe (Fla.) JC. He started his career at Georgia Tech but transferred after pitching just five innings.
Last year's wins leader, 5-foot-9 Sr. RHP Tanner McIntyre (7-0, 2.32), slides into the rotation after working last year in middle relief.

I can't tell if you're being serious or not.
If you are, what are you basing this on?
Bottom line. End of discussion.
They should make more. If Weaver cares as much about money as I think he does, he should greenlight this.
BEAT ARMY
they auctioned those off a couple years ago I believe.
im hoping he can be as productive as he was in 2011. we didnt see much of him since he was getting over an injury this past year.
I used those two classes because everyone's graduated and had a chance to establish themselves in the NFL.

If my math is correct, 18-5 stars from 2006 and 17 from 2007 were drafted. That's a pretty decent ratio compared to other star rankings.
Where did you get that Trey Edmunds will be at LB? He's been a RB since he came here. I'd like to see him at LB but its not gonna happen especially since Drew Harris isn't going to be able to get here till the summer.
Well, it's just an MV party up in here on TKP.
But that whole offense is built around the fact that Flacco is 6'7" and can see over everyone. I'm not sure 6' TT could do everything that Flacco is capable of. He wasn't asked to do a whole lot this season but from where I'm sitting, still collected a hell of a paycheck. Ride it out, make that $$$.

When I can buy one of those 80s-Astros-style VT Baseball jerseys.

but I don't necessarily want to be known as Sir Fagdora in a public forum.
Someday we should start a thread to get all the MVs on here to say hi, I have no idea who anyone is. Or we could just all change our usernames to section nicknames...
Odds are very low that Edmunds plays LB. Very, very low.
I'd be shocked if any of those guys played LB, especially an Inside LB position. ILB is a very, very different position from DE.
More likely is we see 3-4 DE's with our nickel/passing down packages to get a quicker pass rush.
Virginia Tech already out of the running for Elijah Hood:
5 star @ehood34 has top list, in order: #ND #UNC #Clemson #OhioSt & #Michigan #GaTech tied for fifth. Full story coming @rivals @rivalsmikeโ Jason Stamm (@JasonStammSaid) February 12, 2013
So he'll provide some depth. Dahman McKinnon is having minor legal issues but he'll play this year i'm sure. So he'll be 2nd or 3rd string Whip and provide depth there.
THIS CALLS FOR CELEBRATION:
We're gonna win. Erick is gonna go off and I'm just feeling a good game from Eddie coming. I don't know why, there's really no reason to think it, but for some reason I see Eddie getting motivated by his immaturity from last game.

This is actually my brother-in-law's license plate. Either that, or his brothers. One is 'LOLUVA' and the other is 'UVALOL', I can never keep them straight as to who owns which. Just thought I'd share.
