I went to high school with Peter Lalich. Nice guy, but he's a bit of an oddball. He's a pretty self-deprecating guy, so don't worry about him hunting you down to beat you up...he'd more likely buy you a cold one for getting in a good zinger. When we were seniors in HS, I proudly wore a shirt with the Colin Cowherd "UVA is soft" quote on it. He read it and laughingly agreed.
I met a worker at Moe's tonight claiming to be Erick Green's foster brother if that's of any significance.
No lie, that used to be my exact twitter name. I was obsessed.
I don't think ESPN would despise us if we #BEATBAMA I feel an upset would get everyone to watch ESPN for the reaction giving then more money
*construction noises*
Who do we realistically have a chance in the 2014 class? Is a top 10 class something not out of reach?
He took a knock to the knee during the week and it started to affect him late in the game. Jarell needs to get his head in the game and quit mor, pping around. JVZ and dot held their own which is good to see
I know Shane Beamer is a great recruiter, but yea, top 50 is like a participation medal. If you recruit in the upper-tier of the BCS conference, more than likely you're in the top 50. None the less...

I'm thinking Trevor meant Prep schools like Our Lady of Good Counsel, where Kendall Fuller went. These schools, already recruit some of the best high school players in their state, so these Prep schools are pretty much stocked full of 4 and 5 stars.
I think you're referring to Prep schools like Fork Union, where Drew Harris is attending. These are two different types of prep schools. And, I'm not sure if which type of Prep school Grimes will recruit.
My biggest concern based on Park's highlight reel is arm strength and his ability to throw the 10-yard out pattern. He throws some nice deep balls, appears to have good touch and hits guys in stride for the most part. Nonetheless, there are some throws where I initially thought, "Oh, why did he put so much air under that one rather than zip it in?" By the time I finished the film I realized that might have been him zipping it. Tough to tell on film, regardless. Love his ability to throw on the run, that's a difficult thing to coach.
Here Here!
.....in the top 50? I smell an 40th place medal from the so called pundits of recruiting.
Jayron didn't drop his punt return in the Bama game. Returned it 11 yards, nothing special, but I think Jayron would be a better Kendall comparison, considering their position, size, skill set and highly recruited.
This segmet is just pure quality. and i appreciate it.
From the two videos, the biggest differences between Cornwell and Park that I noticed are:
1. Park is more mobile and can throw on the run and be fairly accurate without setting his feet. Cornwell can move, but like Logan, is not too shifty, and he needs to set his feet before throwing.
2. Cornwell has a stronger arm, and in the video showed the ability to fit the ball in tight spots. Park has a good arm and can launch it downfield, but I didn't see the same zip on intermediate routes.
Which is better? Both are pretty freaking good, but I like Park because of his ability to throw on the run and quick release. Either way, signing one would pretty much guarantee a future star QB for Leoffler with Bucky already on board.
I was trying to figure out if a win/loss was directly attributed to Erick's performance, whether good or bad. Here's what I found (ESPN Stats):
In our 11 wins, 25.27 PPG, 3.73 APG, 53.11 FG%.
In our 11 losses, 25.09 PPG, 4.55 APG, 45.35 FG%.
This doesn't show me very much except whether or not he is shooting well from the floor. It is a little odd with respect to assists. I then looked at if the support of Jarell Eddie played a role, just because he is the second leading scorer on our team.
In our 11 wins, 15.18 PPG, 1.64 APG, 48.16 FG%.
In our 11 losses, 12.55 PPG, 1.0 APG, 37.57 FG%.
Again, nothing too noticeable with Jarell with the exception of FG%. This leads me to believe the problem is with defense. Here they are:
In our 11 wins, 68.09 OPP PPG, 39.0 OPP FG%.
In our 11 losses, 78.82 OPP PPG, 45.02 OPP FG%.
This is a tad more revealing of our team. I could keep analyzing but happy hour is calling. However, WE NEED DEFENSE. Some (most) of our team is inconsistent on offense but the bottom line is defense. Ten more points per game in losses is a lot to make up, especially with our inconsistencies. Also, #beatbama.
Those statistics do not surprise me at all.
Let start with rebounding, which in my opinion, is the best statistics to own if you are a team because I always believe in whoever control the glass wins the game. The rebounding took a massive nose dive lately, and that's probably because JJ wants the team to haul ass back on defense rather than to give up transition basketball. Tech does very poorly in crashing the board on the offensive end, but they do okay with defensive rebounding. I would like to see JJ encourage more offensive rebounding next season to gain 2nd chance points, or a trip to the charity stripe for two chances at free throws.
Assists is also problematic. Erick Green basically has a 1 to 1 assist to turnover ratio, which is awful, and part of that is because his teammates don't help him out when they are fed the ball from him. I have seen far too many easy layups being blown and far too many missed jump shots. If those were made, then his ratio would be better.
3-point defense is a trick pony. I often ignore it because it doesn't always tell the whole story. Sometime a team just gets hot from the 3 point land, and it skews the stats, or teams goes cold and misses more 3s. An example of that would be VMI. They missed a lot of open 3s but Clemson and Maryland killed Tech from three point lands. So, I don't think that should be a major stats to look at.

I now will have nightmares for a week...
She may be good looking and all but i just couldnt do it after seeing her in all that bama stuff.... call me crazy but na not for me, i expect my girl to have a little more class about herself.
Sadly, Eddie has not figured out how to make the transition from shooter to scorer, and RB has a flaw in his shooting stroke that leads to slumps, and is a shaky ballhandler.
Kid can play. No doubt.
Would be excited to have him on campus.
freaking awesome! Thank you for sharing!
I expect nothing less than the Hokie Nation to be out in full force. I expect to see a sea of maroon and orange. I expect the tide to get rolled and their new slogan to be low motha fuckin pride. I expect that VT goes into the dome and shocks the world no matter how much epsn would despise us doing so.

id rather have ESPN hate us because when they are all up on our nuts we always screw the pooch somewhere down the road.
