It is usually something along the lines of a grade that is an anomaly, not enough credits total/of a certain area, paperwork problems.
In this case it sounds like something about a high school transcript which could be forged grades, bad grades, not enough credits or anything in between. Could be even something like a signature missing or something stupid like that.

Exactly...is there a true show stopper here, or are they just stuck in that circular bureaucratic black hole that requires relentless phone calls where you take 10 minutes to explain to the 3rd person that day and the 10th person that week your entire case history while they proceed to tell you what you already learned 2 weeks ago, then the light goes off on their end about why you are apathetically condescending and are placed on hold while they get a supervisor and the process repeats?
I'd like to say he'll be on the roster by summer, but who knows?

I read that Holland Fisher signed his LOI from his home because he's serving a ten day suspension. Not a good sign for somebody already dealing with academic troubles.
He ended up getting his dad to sign it. The mom hired an attorney to "represent the family's best interests." The kid said he wasn't even aware that she had done it. Good luck with this bunch Arkansas...

When we played Clemson in basketball the earlier this year, I tweeted that I was happy Tanner Smith wasn't playing anymore and that he was on the Van Wilder 7 year plan at Clemson like Charlie Whitehurst. Sure enough, minutes later, I get a notification that THE Tanner Smith favoritied my tweet. What a goofus. There was something else I was going to say...oh yeah #BEATBAMA

After last night's game, I was kinda hoping to see the actually Jeff Allen, but the reaction of the Auburn fans is pretty good.
If you had...you would note it's the worst show ever made (despite the network commercials saying its the #1 new comedy). The only credit I will give them, is the blonde is actually pretty hot...but until they show boob...I'm sticking with the worst show ever title.

Reid is an almost certainty to need prep school. Fisher is on the bubble and we won't know until June. I hadn't heard about Jefferson, but it would make sense since he didn't get any other offers (schools didn't have to offer him since he will theoretically be back on the market next year).
Harris' deal is between his HS and the NCAA. That (likely) means he will either play for VT or JUCO this year. If there is a HS transcript issue, Miami or Kent State or Marshall couldn't get you in.
Remember, when it comes to HS qualifying issues, it will be underreported. There won't be a press conference or really any official announcement. At the bottom of some mid-summer Doug Doughty article, he'll mention that Reid will go to Hargraves next year and that's it.

Anyone else starting to hear the rumors of players being ineligible? Harris, Reid, Jefferson and Fisher. That's four already anyone else heard of any other players falling into this category? I'm starting to get depressed. Really hope these are just rumors although we have been hearing of Harris and Fisher, this is the first I have heard of the other two.
Kind of ironic that the SEC members are suspicious that Ole Miss must be cheating in reeling those top flights athletes. After all, doesn't the SEC stands for Surely Everyone Cheats?

but he's had a nice season. He's scoring more points per game than anyone who plays for Miami. that's shocking.
I expect he will take a leap next year when he is taking all the shots EG is taking currently. Eddie went from 9ppg to 14ppg. I could see 17+ ppg next year. For comparison sake, EG went from 11 to 15 to 25.
but it doesn't matter if we don't get better at defense. Notice how the defensively minded team in Charlottesville has been on the right side of a handful of full-on ACC blowouts this year. Defense is where its at, not running up and down.

How's putting Beyer on Layman a mismatch? All he did was a sit on the perimeter and shoot 3's. He was a spot up shooter that's it. He was a poor ball handler and clearly didn't play well down low it would have been a perfect matchup
