I see negative score, so let me clarify. My point is this. VT is ranked 14th in the 247 recruititing rankings. If VT didn't have a recruiter in the top 50, it would be an embarrassment.

Shane is one hell of a recruiter. One of the best and I want him to be top 5, which maybe he will be in 2014. Anyone who thinks I'm negative on Shane is wrong. I'm negative about the fact that 247 is giving out an "award" for something that every top recruiting team should have.

Basically, all the reasonably priced places near the stadium are booked. My friends and I said fuck it and decided to just get a room at the Omni so we can just stumble home after the game. You'll either pay an arm and a leg, or be 20 miles away.

I would love to see Rogers as a fullback just demolishing linebackers who shoot through the gap. Hulk Smash.

When we were winning earlier this year, the team's FG% was way higher. It now seems like everyones in a shooting slump except EG and Raines. In the beginning of the year, our offense was fluid. Now it stalls out regularly.

I remember once hearing John wooden (I think) say that in a good offense EVERY player is ALWAYS moving; no one stands in one place for more than a split second or two. Im no basketball coach, but during our 7 game winning streak, we were always moving. Since then, I've seen a lot of standing around. Not sure if this is a function of fatigue, or better competition, or both, but I'm concerned with the offense.

The defense is frustrating. We can't get stops at crucial times. I'd like to see how many second chance points we give up, and how we rank nationally. Can't be good.

These guys go and fight every game, but always seem to be 3 baskets and 3 stops away from a win. I'm not sure how to fix this. Make more shots? Not sure it's that's easy. I will say, that in my 5 years a tech, this team seems to be having the most fun of any team. They seem like an actual TEAM. Not sure that could be said about previous years' squads.

Shane really genuinely loves Blacksburg and VT. I think recruits see this, and want to be a part of it.

The most dangerous part of our team for that game, and I know multiple people have said it before, is that we have nothing to lose. If we lose by 50 guess what, nobody is going to care. That's going to be what everyone predicted and we'll move on as usual. Alabama has everything to lose, full strength or not. Their dynasty would be questioned and more importantly their national championship hopes would be hurt badly.

If you look at the article, Mike Groh from Bama was number 1. Then the list provides anywhere from one to three coaches per the "who's who" of BCS teams. Pretty much the top contending teams. What's scary is teams like Michigan had three guys. So they don't break down rankings or actual placement.

If we can play like we have the last few games for the rest of the season then I'll be happy. A lot of good effort, so it's hard to complain about much. I'd like to see more offensive sets being run, but at least the effort is there.

For the record. You DON'T "really understand what I am trying to say." I think our D is awesome. I called Exum "My Hero." He is one of the greatest person's to show up on campus. I love his swag. I am in hopes that these coaches light a similar fire in the hearts of the Offense. I like Logan, he gets it, he is the Eric Green of last years offense. I want to see his heart in other players. We will need it. Our D WILL GIVE US AN OPPORTUNITY TO WIN. I am in hopes that our O will do it. I hope these new coaches will show them how and light a fire in them so bright that they are unstoppable. We didn't have that last year. None of us has seen it yet. I want to see this in the spring as much as everybody.

I am here in Alabama, I hear about this team every week during the season. What is keeping a team below 20 points? I call it a defense giving an offense a chance to win. I was not bashing Exum or our D. This team did not let LSU's O cross the 50 yard line in the 2012 NC. They will show up with one of the best D's in the country. I love HOKIE Football. I love Bud Foster. I will be wearing my orange and maroon and leaving my $#!+ colored clothes home on game week no matter what. I am a trash talking fool, if I see a spark during spring ball, I will be all up in every Bama fans ear to let them hear it. And there are a lot of them here. Take this post as a direct challenge to our O along with our new coaches. We will get mauled if our O looks like last year.
