I'm as optimistic as the next guy, and I want all of these things too. But you have to be realistic. We've made strides in the uniform, I've heard that maroon pants will be back next year. If there is one thing I'm sure of, Bama has not already dismissed us. If there is one team in the country that would fall for a trap game, it's us (JMU), not Bama. Saban doesn't screw around, they are going to come out just as hard for LSU as they are WKU, so we need to be prepared. We hung with them for three full quarters last time, and it's going to take luck, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of starting September with a W.

I'm a student now, okay, and shit has changed. I wasn't being a smart ass, you are living in a dream from the late 90's. I've been a Hokie since I was born a little before the time you went to school here. I want everything too, but you can't sit back and act like it's just going to go back to the way things were.
I stopped the Blackout that everyone was bitching about on here, got the kid to delete the Fla. State event on Facebook in front of 5,000 of my fellow students with an essay on what Virginia Tech football is and has become. I bitched out every 'fob' international kid in my hall that left the Georgia Tech game at halftime because it was 'boring'. I'm the kid in the stands that gets so hyped up over this game that I'm shouting obscenities at injured UVa players because I'm damn sure they're faking it. I'm on Twitter campaigning for pairs of maroon pants for guys that won't acknowledge me unless I'm in Pheasant Run and they wan't to know where the party is. Believe me I want the same things. I try hard and I go to every home and away game that I can, and I don't need your smart ass reply when I'm putting in work toward your goals while you just complain.
I want that VT team that made top 10 programs respect us even if we lost.
Then start writing, or e-mail letters to players and coaches, telling them to pick it up with the lack of work ethic against teams like Pitt.
I want Bama to know they WILL have to play all 60 minutes to beat the Hokies.
They already know that, it's Alabama. Saban hasn't forgotten the last time we played, and he's the best coach in the country. If the game was only 45 minutes long, then our kids would have returned to Blacksburg as giant killers.
I want Bama to lose their next game because of the physical toll the game with VT put on them.
Their next game is two weeks later in College Station. Johnny Football did it once, believe me I'll be yelling for Antone to hit Coop so hard he transports back to 2003 when Alabama was so bad they lost to NIU by 3.

There are a only few people I can't stand in this world, and that includes douchy UVa and Alabama students. Trust me, they'll know.
We WILL be the non-SEC team that the SEC WILL respect.
I might need a stats guy to help me here, but I'm pretty sure we're the 6th best/winningest team in the BCS era. The SEC already respects us, we just fell off last year. If you look anywhere SEC fans usually want us in their conference. Also, we are the next best logical choice if they expand further.
I want the VT team that can beat any team regardless of the number of first round picks on the other team.
Then let's hope coaching changes bring LT and the offense around, we've beat Miami teams that have a stupid amount of first round talent and I don't see why Frank can't do it again.

Please, break into wherever they keep equipment under the Cassell or in Lane or wherever and burn them, I hate it when seniors pick out the orange jerseys every time, they are disgusting.
I want Maroon Helmets with just a simple VT all season for every fucking game!/I want STICK IT IN! STICK IT IN! STICK IT IN! The MV's can't do it, but the fans and students sure as hell can./I want BeamerBall back! I want to teams shank a punt or give up TD on the return because they're so concerned about being blocked.
Again, start writing letters, make the change happen. Let VT know what you want, not me. It's easy to sit back and complain to your friends without taking any action, do something about it.
I want our defense to outscore the other teams offense.
This is rather improbable, and I know by this point in your rant you're probably just super hyped up, but hell, I'd like for this to happen too. We have Bud Foster, and great defensive classes coming in. With the possibility of landing the #1 overall recruit for 2014, we will continue to reign defensively.

Brining in Jeff Grimes should help, Auburn had a nasty O-Line when Cam was there, and after hearing about the inability of some coaches, I'm optimistic that we can recover and start posting a strong front on offense.
