I thought Bonner had terrific game. His only error was the touchdown, and that was a tough spot. Exum was in man to the outside, and his receiver ran a go route. Bonner was lined up man on the slot, and he has to take away the quick slant. You hope that with Rocco throwing to the wide side of the field that he underthrows that ball. He made a good throw into the wind, and the receiver was already moving away when Bonner tried to tackle him. Again, you want him to make the play, but 60% of the time the tackle is missed. The lack of pursuit resulted in a touchdown, but that was the exception to the rule on a day where the defense played a terrific game. Other than a lack of pass rush in the first half, I can't say anything bad about the defense. It is as well has they defended the run all season. Bonner was a big part of that.
...probably a lot of UVas offensive staff will be looking for jobs this offseason. Bill Lazor for OC!
Nice job!

what season are you saying we missed the NC? Sorry holiday hangover...
Frank can coach as long as he damn well pleases, in my book. It's going to take multiple seasons of absolute tanking (I'm talking traditional Duke levels) for me to even consider changing my mind. He built the damn program and I'm going to be pissed if they treat him like FSU did to Bobby Bowden.
On the other hand, since he DID build the program, I get the sense that Frank has a better grip on goings on than Bobby or JoePa did. I think he wants whats best for the program and he'll step aside when he realizes he can't do it at a high enough level anymore. My worry is that our offensive staff could still be employed (by VT) in a week, which would show (to me) that Frank still values loyalty over what he sees as selling his soul to win the National Championship.
DontFireMikeLondon.com? I mean, yes, this game was closer than last year, but I put that more on our horrendous O line (Newsome) and generally offensive philosophy and execution today (O'StineCain). We held their offense to 7 points. Was anyone genuinely worried that if London HAD used his timeouts like a not-idiot that they would have been able to piece together a drive to tie the game? In retrospect, the only shot he had was us missing the field goal and playing for OT. Well, that and our defense forgetting to come back out for OT.

In college you can call consecutive timeouts, but not in the NFL.
I remember Lloyd Carr trying it against Texas in a Rose Bowl. It worked as well as it did today. I'm sure there are other times but it's generally stupid.
I really hope not.

I love how the guy next to him had the common sense to take off his hat and hide it behind his cup.
Do you think he snuck in some wine coolers???
London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down
London Bridge is falling down,
My fair Hokies.
I sang that when he was ignoring his two timeouts hahaha, seated next to my sister (recent UVA graduate).
I've seen it done in college before (can't remember WHEN, but I have) but I thought the clock had to tick between TOs. /unsure
The players on defense have improved each week (with the possible exception of Bonner). Regarding Exum, some of my buddies' younger siblings played against him around here in high school ball. 804!
I was under the impression that double-icing was against the rules. Maybe that's just NFL.
I'll fly to the East Coast for the party
I was banned a long time ago. MUWHAHAHA!
I've tried that in NCAA, and even then it didn't work!
Mike London used to be a cop?

That won't stop significant changes. Empty seats for a rivalry game and boos against a so-so defense plus, you know, eyes, will make the difference. Too many boosters are unhappy, and the big money drives the changes.
