I certainly haven't gotten a phone call, and I doubt Ken Massey - a VT alum who programs one of the BCS computer ranking systems - has either. VT has an excellent Stat department and I'm sure could get work done for free.

That is correct, but changing it sounds like a lot of work. Plus that last one incorrectly saying "3rd" instead of "2nd" is the only thing keeping opposing DC's from reading this and know what our offense is going to do (/end sarcasm).
That should be the next post actually...how do we compare with the top teams in the country rather than everyone?
That guy is beast and it would be amazing for him to really deliver for us.

But I think it all comes down to the development of our current players, as to whether or not Fisher will play. If they don't move Exum back to safety and Bonner/Cole don't get better, then I think he'll play.
I wouldn't mind redshirting him though if our current suspects get noticeably better.

Very optimistic about the talent we have coming in and glad to see that he, and hopefully the rest, stick to their commitments even though this season may make them second guess it.

# | Richmond Times Dispatch: Holland Fisher says he remains committed to Virginia Tech So when Fisher comes in next year, will he play? I expect Kendall Fuller to play due to lack of cornerback depth. I see the depth chart looking like this:
CB: Fuller and Fuller/Manning and Riley
S: Exum/Fisher/Frye
Rov: Jarrett/Cole/Bonner
The only other thing I could see would be to keep Bonner at Safety and redshirt Fisher but unless Bonner improves or Fisher proves in the Fall that he's not better than Bonner and Frye, I see him playing.
Great job man, really well done. I'm not a stats geek so some of the analysis behind the stats went over my head (plan on reading it later at home a few more times), but just the fact that you did this shows what kind of fans we have: intelligent and passionate ones. Go Hokies!

What upperclassmen are you worried about leaving early? Kyle and Antone?
Granted I know Antone said preseason that if the defense had a good year he was going to the league, but I don't think it's impressed anyone enough for him to start thinking NFL.
The chances are very slim, and I would be absolutely shocked if LT didn't come back. I'd be a little worried if he had a year like last year but he has struggled too much this season to start thinking NFL.

Great post French... I think clearly boosters are going to drive the bus this offseason. Changes will be made is we keep up at this pace. I also think the quality of some of our upperclassmen are dragging this team down. I haven't seen kids with attitudes this bad since middle school. I think this is also a contributor to our offensive struggles as well. Curious your thoughts..

#3. It's funny you mention that, a "U" fan I work with just told me this morning there's a Vick curse. I asked him who cursed Miami and he said Shapiro.
That should be next, although keep in mind that programs like GT and Texas Tech would move the intercept of that line but not change the slope. When GT is down by 10 in the first quarter, they don't start throwing right away because it's not what they're good at. You stick with what you're good at until late in the game.
Also, if you're going to be very one-dimensional like those, you better be really, really good at it. We're not so good at either as to get away with predictability.
