I think Miller may be the overall better back in term of the "fundamentals" (reading blocks, hitting holes, cutting the ball back). But I think DW takes the cake hands down with the "intangibles"

I did feel slightly bad for Demler after everyone (myself included) cheered for the 52 yard bomb by Branthover. But I guess Frank finally realized that he had to do what he had to do. Made the right decision in the end.

Hopefully Thomas will gain some confidence after this game, and his play while being pressured will become better. Miami really only rushed 4 the entire game so Thomas had all the time in the world to make plays through the air.

As mentioned before, we finally seemed to stick with one offense type, the shotgun read option. There were only a few plays that I remember lining up in I form or something other than shotgun, which is good. Keep those to a minimum.

Definitely was a fun game. I bet the people in front of me that left at halftime expecting a blowout by us came to regret their decision rather quickly. Serves em right eh?

Not sure the spelling, but guy I used to work with was into it. cap-o-ate-ah, Brazillian dance karate.

def understood, it's whip :P

Who got the Dumb and Dumber reference.

Another example of Logan's touch was on that 22 yard gain to Drager where he floated the ball over the Linebacker's head just perfectly.

You could throw DW out a window in his sleep and he'd land on his feet running.

But DW4's run above looks like that martial arts discipline where people kinda dance/spin kick the crap out of people.

Im so proud of the way Logan Thomas performed, I know last week against Clemson it was so hard trying to get hokie fans to understand that he is still young. He will have his ups and his downs we just have tto support him as our QB. I remember when Tyrod started playing the same hokie fans were saying the same thing about him as well. So with that being said Logan Thomas is writing his own legacy!

LETS GO HOKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

seeing that in the stands was amazing. i haven't watched the dvr yet, but i'm so excited to i can barely sit still. LT3 looked poised (thanks to a great night blocking by our o-line), the play calling was spot on, and just the overall game prep looked better. LT3 looked off receivers to find the open ones and had touch we have not seen yet from him (watch how perfectly that ball is dropped into boykin's waiting arms). i know there are still many growing pains to come from this young QB, but just seeing him play this way gives me hope i may not have had even before the season. seeing how great he CAN play lets us all know that great things are to come, and regardless of the hiccups along the way, it's all leading to something good.

LOGAN THOMAS IS MY QUARTERBACK.

Logan Thomas looked much more comfortable today. He threw the ball accurately and ran very well. It may have been the week of practice, it could have been a healthier shoulder, but the main thing that I saw last night was playcalling that played to Logan's strengths. There were many more designed runs for LT3. They were moving the pocket and letting him rollout and throw on the run. I loved everything about the playcalling. We ran much more read option, which may have been the weakest part of Logan's game tonight. He handed the ball off a time or two when he should have kept it and kept it when he should have handed it off. But, that is part of running a read option, that is going to happen. Logan looked natural out there tonight. Throwing on the run, running people over, and leading this team to a W. Last week Logan's offense lost us the game. This week, when our defense was prepared to lose it for us, Logan took his team onto the field and led a methodical two-minute drill. AND, we cannot say enough about O'Cain's playcall on 4th and 1. LT3 up the middle for 6! That is all.

This is the first game he just looked and felt comfortable. If he just plays the game, and not try to think about the stakes of the game, he'll be fine. I'm sure, as stated, he'll still struggle in a few more games, but let's hope you just stays relaxed and not try to do too much.

and the drive home after a win like we had against Miami makes the drive feel like a blip of time.

than his completion percentage this game and overall performance to the overall offensive stinker against clemson, i mean what the heck happened in a week?!?!

was it the shoulder?
is miami's d that bad or clemson's that good?

i'm speechless.

in any regard, GO HOKIES.

every store in blackburg will be sold out of chloraseptic by lunch time tomorrow..

Not sure if this will be allowed. Someone had a few too many margaritas and Spaten Lagers last night and forgot to finish the post.

daU - Miami and F$U are back, baby!

LSU - HoneyBadger!

Auburn - Just to cover, not win.

Nebraska - What would the over/under of a tOSU/VT game be?

Two of my worst Hokie football memories are base around Miami. 2000 at Miami when #7 was hurt and we got stomped, bad. At least the weather was nice and we drank with Dan Morgan that night. That was horrible having to hide in Coral Gables. Then the next year with the 2-pointer dropped in the end zone. Ugh.

Of ALL of the teams we play, this is the most hated one (Since west Fu@&%g Virginia isn't in the rota.) This is a true rivalry, hatred included. We took their swagger, without being like them while doing it.

My old roommate got married in the botanical gardens a few summers ago. A friend of his went to Miami, and was actually a really cool guy. There was still the U side of him, but the best by far that I've ever met. After a few nights in Blacksburg and several beers later, we got him on camera yelling "Go Hokies!" Priceless. We Blacksburg'd him.

If we can do it, you guys sure as hell can. Since we got a bye week, you know what I'll be watchin'. Do IT!

Expect lots of this look tomorrow:

I'm now ready to believe
