"VT will not lose to a FCS team two years in a row. NEVER." - I haven't spoken to any of my JMU friends since that happened. I cry a little each day about it.

Also, hahahaha.

App State will definitely be targeting him from the beginning trying to run the same spread option to the weak side and see if he learned how to keep outside contain.

i'm going with 42 to 24, their skill players could have a field day if we don't play sound d. and i'm still not sold on hypen, maybe ever. he is my new glennon for sure.

BC smells of a trap to me as well. The Ga Tech game will be tough but mostly because home underdogs tend to do well on Thursday nights. I do not fear them though. Paul Johnson has one win against us and people think he owns Bud Foster? I don't get it. And ECU puts no fear in me. We put 250 yards rushing on them last year and scored 49 points! Clemson at noon would scare me but my confidence goes up as the game gets later in the day. I expect a 3:30 kickoff at the earliest but this will be our first game on a big network so a night game could be in store. As we've seen in the past, a night game in Lane is tough for a first year starter.

gt. don't know if their offense last night was a fluke, but in atlanta i think they somehow continue to confuse us.

i can't believe no one has a potential loss to bc, i think that is our trap game and would rate it at 50%...

Why so scurred? Their Defense is laughable. Even if they improve vastly over last year I see nothing better than upper 80's. Yea they kept it somewhat close in the first half but If you were watching every game last year we really didnt win any of the more even matchups until the late third or fourth. Especially IF JGW is improved I see us coasting right past them. BTW, DW had a 7.4 avg on YPC with 2 TD's against em last year.

IF we get the production out of DW that Im thinking we will and better defensive play I say at worst we go 10-2 with my Losses in either the Miami, Clempsun, or GT game. I fear turnovers by LT against the first two's secondary may be the deciding factor. GT is GT. Cut blocks wreak havoc on Bud.

there seems to be no consensus on what game we will lose, which i think is telling.

...RE: East Carolina. I understand the utility of a reliable out of conference foe that you can easily schedule every season but the fact that we seem to be treating them as an equal and traveling down there every other year seems to be asking for more trouble than its worth. I also am worried about that game being a potential upset.

I say we go 11-1, with the loss probably coming against Georgia Tech. I hate Paul Johnson with a passion therefore we are destined to lose...Thats kind of how my life goes.... But in all seriousness I still think our aggressive ball-hawking defense will struggle against an option offense that requires patience. Plus, it seems as of last night that GT has tried to become a little less one-dimensional, throwing the ball for 365 yds and 3 touchdowns last night (although I am sure the opponent had a lot to do with that).
