All I do is win, win, win no matter what...
FSU's average recruiting ranking is 7.8 while Tech's is at 25.8 and we are still waxin 'em. But this just proves that it takes a team of good players that play well together to have a great team. If you have great players that do not play well together forget about it, take Note FSU. Actually don't, I thoroughly enjoy beating the hell out of you. That is all.
Tyrod excelled at Tag as a youth. Growing up, he never did like hearing "you're it".
Let me just get the corrrnnnerrrrr... annd... yeah.
I'm gone now.
They see me floating.... They Hating....
Tyrod used Agility!
Tyrod's SPEED greatly increased!
FSU Defender used Tackle!
The attack missed!
Tyrod used Quick Attack!
It's super effective!
FSU Defender fainted!
These MV7 cleats really work, a true Michael Vick experience.
It's quite irritating to hear HD and ESPN already handing the trophy to F$U...
Tyrod whistled the tune to 'Can't Touch This' as he ran around, through and over FSU defenders to the end zone.
It wasn't even the 53 yard scramble that announced his arrival....it was the ridiculous 50 yard bomb to Justin Harper going across his body. I was in the North End Zone and the entire section was silent in awe for a second after he completed that pass.
Tyrod's feet never really touched ground all season.
Got it for PS3 and I am rather impressed with the improvements to the overall gameplay and presentation. As a Hokie though I am actually rather pissed about the entrance, no skipper, and generic band animations (this last one is totally on Tech, Weaver, and Beamer- gotta answer those EA Sports offers and phone calls!!!). It seems as though last year's generic entrance was more 'authentic' to the feel of Lane shaking to Enter Sandman. BUT I get it that the lead designer is a Free Shoes U homer and grad so most other ACC teams get screwed over, particularly VT on anything to do with authentic gameday atmosphere for the ACCCG win last December. Not to quote Miami or UVA fans but even a few of them on the OS Boards and EA Boards all bitched about VT's entrance and atmosphere- pretty cool to hear rivals saying that it should be louder in the game cause it is one of the toughest places to win a road game in College Football.
Overall impressed but tweaks need to be made. Love the new zone coverage though- you have to anticipate receiver breaks and defense reading your offense now. Plus goodbye to dumping the ball into the flats and gaining huge yards. Like in an actual game (even HS) defenses are too fast for that to work for huge gains all the time.
BTW- anyone interested in some games on PS3 let me know- duffmanhokie1568 (PSN Handle). Don't usually do the online dynasties cause I download rosters from Gatorbait and Buckeye02 over at Gaming Tailgate/Operation Sports. Great rosters if you want usually (minus VT- bad year I guess cause I had to do a ton of work to the roster with ratings and equipment upgrades). There is a 360 community roster as well from VT Fan CaRsOnS (I think that's the handle...its over at www.operationsports.com- just check the '360 Community Rosters' under their NCAA '12 roster forums). Good Gaming!
16 more games in 7 years than the next closest team. We are averaging at least two more wins per year than everyone else.
BURNER!
If UVa was actually interested in Conte it's laughable that they waited until after Tech offered. He's a legacy. I can't say enough good things about how Beamer Co.'s importance of family has paid dividends for us.

Hello fellow hokie fans. If any of you viewed the Monday edition of College Football Live on ESPN, you should be very, very angry. One of the topics discussed on the show was a list of the nation's best defensive backs. Our all - everything corner Jayron Hosley was not mentioned. Not in the first list, not during honorable mention, not anywhere! The same Jayron who was a Playboy Preseason All-American a couple months ago. The same corner who led the nation with nine interceptions last season. The same playmaker who will most definitely enter the season with first team All-ACC honors. ESPN did all of hokie nation a huge injustice; one I will not soon forget.
Good call. I didn't forget Dyrell, I'm just not positive he'll play this year. I know he and the coaches have said he's almost back from the compartment syndrome, but we're loaded at the position and he'll want to be 100% for his senior season, especially with a redshirt year left to burn.
Love to see tech filling gaps that need filling and getting big players on the offense is awesome. Get a couple more like him and we are golden.
Now the chilling part: the VSR4 -- Virginia Tech's second-lowest-rated helmet -- was the most common helmet in the NFL last season. The VSR4 is widely worn in college and high school, too. Immediately after the Virginia Tech findings were released, Riddell advised football teams to stop using the VSR4, long the company's best seller.
I still can't believe how behind the times the NFL is when it comes to player's safety. Yes they do their own concussion research, and they're outlawing harsh illegal hits, but how aren't they the ones leading this initiative? I have major respect for VT putting this study out there and pulling heads out of the sand. I hope going forward the NFL carries the balls, pun not intended, so the results of their future work can trickle down to colleges, high schools, etc... to increase player safety across the board.
you are too kind.
Off the top of my head I can't think of a better return tandem than the STRAIGHTBURNER and David Wilson. I'm not sure they'll both be back there though. We have a plethora of depth at wide receiver, and as long as he's healthy I think Dyrell will be back deep, but as far as Wilson goes, is it worth the extra pops since we're so thin at running back?
And because you asked...
we might have two of the best kick returners in the country, everyone seems to be forgetting about our OTHER burner. cue the bama 09 tape please. ;)
was that our redshirt tailbacks last year, could be starting at other BCS schools. Josh Oglesby is not untested in my mind, but I can see what they are saying for every down for DMFW. Everyone has been drinking the Heather Dinich KoolAid on FSU as they have been for years. This year at least we aren't getting the U is back shoved down our throats. I would rather be the quiet and humble reigning champions than be in FSU's free shoes any day.
DW teaches this concept to kindergartners.
The key word here may be "tailback". While we all know his talents (as do UVA, GT, etc.), but it sounds like an uninformed hack seeing that RMFW and DE32 are gone and assuming the "third-string" guy is untested. A better question, perhaps, is how many better kick returners are there in the country?

this reminds me a little of how the NHL All Stars would get their @$$'s handed to them by the Soviet national team. Talent vs. team cohesiveness type of thing.
