I'm mostly down with your top 10. I think Bama deserves to be a little higher, and Sakerlina should be a little lower.
Florida State seems too high for me, I'd put them more in the 15-17 range. No specific reason, their win against Miami was impressive but they got some help from Miami's self-implosion, and other than that game, they haven't blown my mind. AND YES I am a FSU hater (who isn't?). I'll give them more credit if/when they roll BC and NC State in the next 2 weeks.
I like where you have Stanford and Arkansas, but I'll admit I'd probably have Stanford a little higher because I'm riding that bandwagon. In related news: suck it, Kiffykins.
Don't like NC State on there, I'd sub Miami in for them. OK thats a lie, I'd sub the Hokies in for them even though I don't think we deserve to be ranked (yet). It makes my eye twitch to give Miami credit over VT especially with Princess Jacory throwing the ball with reckless abandon.
Other than that, its a crapshoot. As evidenced by the shuffling in the AP and Coaches Polls, and even moreso by this new story saying Boise State would be #1 if the BCS came out today, no one knows wtf is going on anymore... not even the computers that are specifically designed to know wtf is going on.
**It should be noted that I missed most games before 8pm this week because I was responsible for a 7 month old, and he isn't cool enough to watch football all day yet (I'm working on it). So when I say my opinions are unqualified, I REALLY mean it.
why in the world aren't there more 5-8 yard dump passes (Wes Welker style) to the receiving corps and/or the running backs? It seems anything of that length is an out route and dumped near the sideline.
I have no answer for this and I'd like to see more of it too. Our passing game seems to be anything but conservative, we're always pushing the field instead of taking the easy yards underneath.
I have not even been close the past few weeks.
At least the Hokies are winning, and fun to watch once again.

so upsetting...
it seems with the size and hands of the receivers (and backs) that a throw in the middle field like that would make the offense seem more complete. clearly jump balls are great for them, Coale knows how to sneak open and the backs and tight end have their specialty, but that kind of play seems missing and would be an immense addition to what's left to defend.

I've got to give props to the booth guys, normally I hate watching the 2nd tier channels, but I've actually enjoyed their insight and color. Here's some examples of note:
1) On Tyrod's 62% compeletion rate: He's throwing downfield a lot and this is somewhat misleading, this is not a a dink and doink offense
2) Tyrod's mobility: He's just really fast in small spaces
3) Dyrell's false start: Wide receivers and false starts don't mix, they're not blocking anybody, they're just standing there
4) Negative punt return by CMU: Should have called a fair catch- and my hindsight is awesome
will be stapled to the Tide tonight. (Even if they appear to be asleep...)

I am up to 50% so everything I predict here has a 50/50 chance of being correct. I like 50/50. I think everything has a 50/50 chance except me yelling an F bomb while watching football. My apologies to the 2 year old Hokie fan Amelia for my tirades last week. I am glad your Mom understands my frustration with this team. On to the picks.
Arkansas - A good ole Southwest Conference rivalry being held in Fayetteville West, i.e. Dallas which means it will be more like an Arkansas home game. Maybe aTm can make enough money from this game to get some proper fitting pants. Mallet v/s Johnson in a shootout, I will take Mallet.
Alabama - This game is on the four letter network and they have been talking all week that USCe can upset Alabama. That means Alabama will win. They are a freaking juggernaut that I think no one will stop.
Meeeechagan - Someone has to lose right? I think it has to be MSU for this game but I would much rather not pick it.
LSU - Not sure how the spread isn't 1 b/c there is no way the score isn't going to end 3-2.
Stanford - The only reasons to watch this game is if you a) hate USC and/or b) love the USC song girls.
F$U - The Baby Got Back Bowl or the Pre-Match of the ACC Championship as most are predicting. Remember both teams are back. The one that loses just has to wait for one more win until they are back. Jacory is like this years Hokies, you Goofus and Gallant interchanged between quarters and snaps. The U is back, Chief Osceola is back. This rivalry is back. You heard it here first.

Great Goofus and Gallant picture and memories.
