I'll be honest... If he were the best prospect to ever step foot on campus I wouldn't be excited about it.
Two big problems is lack of discipline defensively. Lots of lost assignments in the W2W game Duffy wants. Same problem in second half against Miami where they blew a 19 point lead in the last 13 minutes. The second is just lazy passing offensively. Two games in a row opponents have had 18 points off turnovers. Hokies had 16 turnovers against Miami and 18 against Louisville. Those numbers represent about 25% of total possessions. Then the team shoots 42%/41% in those two games. Means they are scoring on roughly 30% of possessions. Not going to win many games that way. They clearly dont have enough size and yet some of the size they do have (Baker) plays the majority of the game on the perimeter on both ends of the floor.

Of the QBs that were rumored to join VT, I like Grunk the best. Pribula or Joeseph would have been excellent additions, but Grunk seems to have the best pocket presence of them all. And with 3 years remaining, we should be in good hands until he turns pro.
Huge. He was my 1a with Hawkins as 1b for returners. If we provide him with some good help... he will cause some problems for offensive lineman and QBs

Yep summed it up although even if they shot their normal 32% its still a double digit loss. Second half we couldn't pull a rebound and were giving Louisville three or four chances to score. We let them shoot 58% (11/19) from three and much of that was second chance rebound kicked out to wide open shooter.
Can't have your best defensive player/recruit/captain recklessly driving just before the start of a season that decides if you will get fired or not. Sorry, but for whatever Woodson brought on the field, this is probably best for both parties, especially if Franklin is going to drive the culture change that Pry failed to instill.

Excellent get. Good hands, decent speed, can split out wide if need be. Looking at his HS film, he probably needs to bulk up a bit (more physical) and work on his route running. He came to the right place.
