VCU is 10-4. They are 57th in NET rankings. One spot behind us at 56th. Not that bad a loss if they keep winning in A-10.
The playoff is a must now because of the conference expansions which has messed up scheduling.
Underrated point here.
Apropos of nothing, I found this hilarious....
I wish I could go back to 1985 and explain to people that in the future you have to win the Rose Bowl to play in the Peach Bowl.— Super 70s Sports (@Super70sSports) January 1, 2026

It's as valid as any other method of determining something so subjective.
I'm pretty sure someone ELSE brought up sales as a measure of quality. I've made several posts arguing that sales are NOT a valid measure of quality.
Solomon Williams locks in OV to Hokies from T A&M. 4 🌟 down to 3 🌟 in portal from 247Sports
I want to go back to before the BCA, we've change what a national title means. Now it is a champion not the team that did the best. You can have a team that beat every opponent and not be champion, you can have a team lose to a 6-6 team and become champion. The playoffs dont prove who had the best season, just who played the best in december/January.
Indiana is the only team so far to not be upset in the bowl round or later. That's 1-10 at the time of this comment. Great seasons aren't rewarded.
The playoff is a must now because of the conference expansions which has messed up scheduling. OOC regular season games are slowly being eliminated for conference games. No one plays each other on conference so tie breakers are a mess, the only way to find out the champ is a playoff, but that is a symptom of the growing cancer (well one of them) in college football
Then measured by who? you? nope.
American Film Institute ranks Citizen Kane as its best film of all time. That movie is total shit that lives on the mythos around the making of it. But my opinion of it doesn't matter because like your opinion of Adam Sandler, it's just an opinion.
Subjectivity will never win a debate.
That VCU loss weighs heavy. We probably get a pass for the St. Mary's game, but it will take a lot of W's to overcome that L.
Crystal ball in for 5 🌟 TE Luke Reynolds to Hokies from PSU. Portal 247Sports has him at 4 🌟 94 rating
you're still applying subjectivity which means nothing. you like what you like, others like what they like.
And McDonald's doesn't just compare favorably it is number one in fast food. fact > subjectivity. wins every time.
Combination of those two plus its Winter Break so employees take leave so less people available to execute the task. I wouldnt be surprised if some schools dont get around to it until Monday. Honestly think players should have the ability to enter themselves.
Do you think schools intentionally drag their feet to try to convince players to stay, or is it just more of a painful administrative burden that they drag on because they'd rather not have to do it in the first place?

Exactly. Movies are art.
As such, their quality is not measured by sales. Commercial success is what's measured by sales, which is not the same as quality.
Masses of people absolutely pay to see bad movies. Adam Sandler movies are an excellent example of this.
If there was more news, I definitely wouldn't be talking about what makes a movie "good."
Did you even read my second paragraph? I pointed out that people who go see a movie are voting with their wallets, which means that people thought "I like Adam Sandler, I'm going to go watch his new movie."
You also seem to fail to grasp my main point, what people like is subjective, so let's do something that may help, let's actually define what makes a movie "good" - I'm going to say it's that people enjoy watching it. Again, subjective, which is my MAIN POINT. There are a lot of people who like him and his movies to go keep watching them. You keep focusing on it making money as a measure of whether it is "good." If enough people do not like an actor or his/her movies, they don't go and watch it, so it doesn't make any money, then no more movies are made by that person. Making money is a proxy for measuring how many people like a certain film (and thereby think it is "good.")
And you also moved the goal post. You initially said "good," but now you're saying "excellent." I doubt even Adam Sandler fans (and there are a LOT of them) would describe his movies as "excellent." Again, go back to my definition of good. Or, if you don't like it, offer up your own. But I don't know how you argue about whether someone liking a movie, and thereby considering it "good" isn't subjective. Comedy is even more personal taste than other genres. Some people don't like certain comedies. I don't like most of Will Ferrell's stuff, but I can't deny there are a lot of people that do. You clearly don't like Adam Sandler, but apparently fail to recognize that there are a lot of people that do.
Again, it's a matter of taste. Which flavor of ice cream is your favorite? Do you automatically say that other flavors are bad, especially the others that are very popular?
TKP in a nutshell.
Come for the coaching news
Stay for the spirited debate on what defines movie quality
While McDonald's probably compares favorably in the spectrum of FAST FOOD, it can hardly be considered any kind of pinnacle other than profitability, consistency, and ubiquity. Fast Food is a poor standard for all food.
So the analogy is pretty good for an Adam Sandler. He may be the gold standard for a certain demographic (13 year old boys?), much like McDonalds may be a good standard for generic Fast Food available on your drive home, but it fails when compared to just about anything the average person could cook at home, and falls far short of what someone with any means at all could acquire in terms of a pleasant dining experience.
Bringing back a golden oldie...

You're talking about subjectivity again which is what's wrong with the Adam Sandler hate above.
McDonald's is the pinnacle. It's food, which is edible and tasty for 100s millions the world over, puts more food in hands than any Fast Food chain hands down. The definition of excellence in that category.
That's his point, well half of it anyways. McDonalds is not the pinnacle because it is good food, but because it has good business practices (including finance).
Last year I attended the Duke's Mayo Bowl and my wife and I were very sad that they had run out of free airbrushed Duke's Mayo t-shirts by the time we got to fan fest. This year we will be attending the fan fest, arriving at 1pm, and bolting to the airbrushed t-shirt vendor. The Mayo Bowl's mascot, Tubby, is only eclipsed as the best thing in bowl season by the Pop Tarts.
This guy fucks.

Why would Chambers leave? He was a true freshman. We know he's good but he hasn't done enough for other big programs to throw money at him
