Thinking back on the game last night, the real MVPs should have been the stage crew who ran that stage on and then off the field 3 times in like 10 minutes. They probably had more rushing yards than Alabama did earlier in the day.

The ACC actually got a team in.

Glad the ACC as a conference decided on unequal revenue shares so that this doesn't matter at all to the rest of the conference but only Miami's large pocketbook.

So your argument is that people think the movies are bad, but pay to see them anyway? My point is the people paying to see them most likely think they're good. Similar to whether you like chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry ice cream. Does liking one make the other two bad? It's just a matter of preference. I guess you could make an argument based on if a lot more people like one flavor, but still doesn't make the others bad.

And it's not like there's only like a thousand people who like his movies, there are enough people that like them for him to keep making them. Plus, why is it then that the biggest blockbusters rarely win Oscars? Who defines then if a movie is "good?" I'd argue it's the people who are paying to see it, voting for it with their wallets.

Unless it's Pauley Shore movies, which I firmly believe are only watched by masochists, or maybe his mom.

You wasted no time starting this thread. Nicely done.

Sorry guys, I thought they stuck the landing. Very cathartic.

More than anything else, I'm glad that all the moronic "Kali is the Mind Flayer" nonsense that was all up and down my feed in the last week got shut down.

Ohio State, Alabama, and ND fans are crying in their beers. Almost as satisfying as that Hoo kid at the recent basketball game.

This year's CFP is proving conference championship games don't matter!

Shit, I remember going to watch Vic Hall lead Gretna a to a state title in high school and now he's one of our coaches?

Ooof, that one makes me feel old

It's only a "moral victory," but I am still taking a little pleasure in the fact that the Hokies ran the ball better against Miami than both of the playoff teams they've faced so far.

We might be closer to the return of a monster ground game than we all think.

I 100% expect to see this reaction when they win the Natty:

It's a start. But we can go further.

I dream of the day there's only 1 or 2 SEC teams in the playoff

Somehow I missed that he jumped jobs again.

Higher expectations at UMD than either aTm or VT.

Good luck with all that, Buzz.

The CFB final four is Miami (blegh), Oregon, Indiana, and Ole Miss.

Not a single true blueblood. The ACC actually got a team in.

Oregon is the only of the four schools that has been regularly in the top 10 (much less national title contention) since the start of the playoff era 12 years ago.

Half of the programs don't have a football national title ever - the last program to win their first national title was Florida in 1996.

From his bio:

Williams' teams have suffered just two losing conference records – his first season at Virginia Tech in 2014-15 and his second squad at Texas A&M

So, even at a high salary, he usually gets a pass one year.

I generally want the teams VT has beaten to do well. We need those quality wins.

I only root against ACC teams when VT is playing them. That may change later in the season.

I'll say it again. Alabama, with three losses, didn't belong in the playoffs.

The SEC shouldn't be awarded extra spots in the playoffs.

I've been pulling for Miami from the beginning.

Also, re:the ACC distribution rumors, I'm pulling for the ACC to distribute the money around the ACC and not let Miami keep it all.

Ok so now that there are four left I am heavily rooting for Miami.

If Miami doesn't win it all then I'm rooting for Ole Miss to win it all right after Lane Kiffin leaves

Because the SEC probably has been doing it for several decades.

All hail portal.

Like with eligibility, their rules often supercede natural laws like time.
