To me its more the minutes that were necessary on our top guys. Have to find those chances to give guys a breather and this game should have been one. Neo Hansberry and Johnson all with 33 minutes is way too much. 25-27 should be the goal.
Anyone see or hear why Pasha didnt play more than 1 minute? Seems a monumental waste sitting him that much.
This piece isn't that uncommon with Young. Uses guys to start each half for first 4 minutes but after the first swap its a momentum thing with Young. If Schutt is hot Bedford plays less.
Schutt played 22 minutes to Bedfords 17. Someone else got the 1 minute left for the shooting guard spot.
I think it's twice in the last 3 games that Johnson fouled out.
After rereading the release, the incident happened at 4:10pm, so he was very likely fired a few hours before that if the news of his firing broke at 5pm. The incident may have pushed up the timeline for the announcement.
Poor judgement is absolutely not the same thing as mental illness. Do not conflate the two.
I think common sense would say impregnating a subordinate is clear evidence of mental illness.

I could certainly be wrong
I think he was fired before it was published. Firing led to a crash out where he went to his mistress's apartment and broke in and held a knife to her, got arrested, and then news broke. All within 2 hours.
Any clue why Cj Baxter is transfering? is he mad he wasnt the feature back?
"The smoke show was driving me crazy!" Sherron Moore, allegedly.
Warde Manuel needs to be smacked with the strongest show cause ever issued.
Are you sure about that? The arrest statement above show 4:10 pm. The new of his firing broke about 4:50 pm.
The optics, to me, look like the university was forced to pull the trigger on his firing because the news would break of his arrest soon after.
Also, the internal investigation has been going on for quite awhile (I live in the area).
I'm of the opinion if we can make it work out lets do so. I agree that we are generally good in the RB room and need to focus on other areas of need. But he could certainly work that Debo Samuels sort of role in our offense (should we have one) as he's just a gamer. He reminds me of one of those old school Beamer recruits... He simply got them home (to VT) and found a place for them.
I imagine it would be difficult to defend impregnating a subordinate as a behavior resulting from mental illness. But I'm no professional on the matter.
A different perspective is fine. Posting it incessantly as a response to any rational explanation or speculation gets old and tired. And, to be honest, this latest response offered nothing except a disagreement with my comment.
If my understanding of Michigan law is accurate, the state has pretty strong protections for employees with mental health issues, particularly in when it comes to the termination of employment as a result of any behavior or action taken by the employee as a result of their mental illness, if the employer has been notified, in advance, that the action/behavior that had led to the firing was tied in some way to the mental illness.
He wasn't the DC - I can say that for certain.
We ALL get it - you don't like the Franklin hire and you hate Pry as a coach and want him fired off into the sun. But posting the same narrative against every post that speculates why Franklin hired this person or recruited that kid gets really old fast.
A big check for what? The guy was fired with cause, rightfully so.
As Rodney Dangerfield would say (tugging on his tie) "Tough crowd"!
There will never be a perfect game, so that means there will aways be room for improvement.
Even with a 20 point lead, not pulling away from a team like western carolina shows we went into playing not to lose or playing down to the competition.
Two starters fouling out. That's not ideal. However, both did play 33 minutes. (not sure why). After Johnson fouled out, I did see CMY talk to him for an extended time when he came off the floor. (I'd like to know what was said),
65.2% (15-23) FT. Definitely need to improve on that. Even in a loss we should be 70%+.
I've always said 10 or fewer turnovers. We had 11.......................
All that being said... FAM!!!
Hopefully next game vs UMES
I am totally OUT on this staff if Pry and Howle are the hires
You have stated what your narrative is, and you push it at every opportunity.
How can Bedford continue to be a starter when he hasn't played half a game 6 out of 11 games this year?
You aren't alone. The second half was uninspired basketball and very sloppy defense. How many times did they get a wide open layup in the 2nd half? At least six. Guys were standing around like it was over.
96-74
Second half not as stellar defensively. Forced 11 turnovers in 1st half but only 3 in 2nd.
Positives
48% from 3
53% overall
Neo with 30
Biggest negative was having to keep the starters out there and two fouled out. This was a game the bench should have been in most of 2nd and dominated anyway but nope.
A wins a win but tournament time I would have preferred this be a bigger blowout.

I recall that you criticized Marve's scheme for not having enough variety in blitz packages. Do you think that is an issue with Pry, or do you think that was a Marve only problem?
