there's still a scholarship limit of 105
I figure most teams will still try and add 20-something HS recruits and 10-15 transfers to replace graduating seniors and transfers out.
Great question!
I'll see if I can run those numbers this evening.
I'm just going by who is in the boat at this point. That will certainly shift quite a bit over the next couple of weeks. The trend is a really good one though!
Several of those VT commits are from the previous regime, and we don't know if they are truly takes at this point. If you take just commits from post-JMFF signing, then what's our average composite looking like?

Y'know, I thought I saw some people working it out down some thread or other and I could've sworn JMMF was the acceptable alternative to CJF that was settled on.
But I never really knew what it stood for either. My bad, y'all.
JMFF it is!
247 had recently bumped Bergeron to a 90 (low-4star) and #20 QB. They have Huhn at 89 (high-3star) and #21 QB. Basically a wash.
Huhn is rated better in the composite (4-star vs 3-star)
Is that based on sauces, hope, or the fact that Wiltfong is listing 3 more flips on his CBs? (I don't pay for On3, so not sure who they were)

Those numbers are directly related to the number of recruits, while certainly relevant to the type of recruit. The average composite has us behind PSU by a pretty good margin...
PSU has an average composite (only 6 players) of 90.78
VT has an average composite (14 players) of 87.71.
Just for context.

Have you seen our new offensive line recruits? We just might have a pocket!
You know what would make today even better. A third
On3 is basically what 247 used to be
I think he decommitted at the time of Pry's firing. Franklin has been working to pull him back into the boat
4* OT - Thomas Wilder
Isn't he already committed to VT?
Couldn't be more excited about excelling at linebacker recruiting. I do love a good offense, but I really really miss an ass-kicking defense. Like Pitt at the one yard line on first down and 'no the fuck you will not score on us' type of defense. Can't wait
That was a bizarre analogy in the Jags game yesterday lol
for those of us who don't do the twixter can you share some of the names you're seeing?

If our offense doesn't have pockets, lets at least hope it has a front pouch
thank you for digging this up. Services with mixed ranking between the two. But a nice bump in 247comp
on3 is basically Rivals right?

I'm curious and haven't seen much commentary about it - If we already had Bergeron committed and is arguably a slightly better rated QB, why did we pursue Huhn at the risk (and now reality) of losing Bergeron? Is he better at any particular QB skill? Or is he a former Franklin target and he just has more familiarity with him?
