Week 6 BlogPoll Ballot

My full poll is after the jump. As always I'm going to rely on y'all to keep me in check so leave your opinions, thoughts and suggestions in the comments and I'll adjust the poll as necessary.

  • Boring - My top nine teams held steady. Everyone won the games they should. I don't think Oklahoma's win blowout against Texas justifies them jumping either Alabama or LSU. I still don't know anything about Stanford except they have Luck, their schedule is back-loaded.
  • Kansas State - The power towel era is behind them. Bill Snyder's program is rolling once again, and they've beaten some good teams.
  • Virginia Tech - If the defense played like they did against wake they'd be ranked higher. That might not happen for a while with G-W done for the year, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th DTs still small and green and Gayle hobbling around. However, I am very much encouraged the offense looks capable of bringing the team back from behind.
  • Washington - The Huskies are my last team in. Is anyone else more deserving of the 25th spot?

Week 6 BlogPoll Ballot

Now that was an exciting game to watch, the offense picked up the pace and kept you on the edge of your seat. We need to come out early and often with the same intensity and drive moving forward. The defense with young players C.Marshall, L.Maddy, C.Prince and I. Hamlett at D.tackle faired ok however, with increase reps they will improve and give us the debt that we need. The Whip position, A.Tweedy made some mistakes but, increase playing time will fix that however, he played a heck of a game. The defensive end positions with J.Gayle's injury and C.Collins still working on rehabing his ankle the defensive coaches need to develop and give the backs ups D. Perez-means, Z. Mcray and T.Wilson quality reps in game time situations. Giving time in practice is nice but, not the real thing. The coaches say there is a drop off of play from the starters to the back ups, well if thats the case your job is to not only coach up, but to get them the experience needed. We have a long season and if Gayle and Collins go down like A.Hopkins & G.W than you cannot expect the young guys to come in and contribute like the starters. Its time for tech to start using the talented players behind the starters from safety on down to the front line now! And not wait until somethings happens and than we go into panic mode. By doing this the back ups will get quality experience and when the coaches decide to make a change for fresh legs the opponent will not know the starters from the back ups, therefore a confidence builder for the coaches and the players..Go Hokies!!!!

First, I think nebraska is ranked way too high. Impressed they were able to win, but they should never have gone down by that much to an ohio state team that is not good at all. oregon, is way better than michigan. I know lsu blew them out, but lsu is the best team in the country. I would put oklahoma above bama, but that is probably splitting hairs.

I switched Michigan and Oregon, and while agree with you that Nebraska ranked too high, and I'd also add they would have lost if tOSU's QB Braxton didn't get injured, I can't definitively say any team below them is better than them.

Hey Joe, you should probably vote Michigan higher. How do i get turkey legs?

If y'all beat Sparty you'll probably move up. Obviously it depends on what everyone else does. The more you comment, the more turkey legs you get.
