The Aftermath of a Loss

It's always tougher after a loss. For some of our fans this was a "One game season" playing Bama. This was only the first game of our season. The rest of our season still matters! I know that everyone invested a lot of their time into "BEATBAMA". I did, and I don't regret a bit of it! I'm a Hokie through and through Win or lose. But as fans can we please stop tearing down our team! I know it was hard tonight watching our offense play the way they did and watching the drops. But please let's not try to point our fingers at those kids, whether they're seniors or freshman. I think some of them know they didn't leave it all on the field, or play to the best of there ability while on it. This may be clitche, but we win as a team and we lose a team. We enjoy the ups and downs together as fans.

The thing that worries me the most is? After a loss like this what does it do to our fanbase? Are we still going to be as pumped up about next week's game as we were for this Bama game? I told a group of Bama fans at my church this week and before the game, win or lose I'm still going to ride with my team regardless of the results. So it is what it is.

Like Macho Harris said, "This is a minor setback for a major comeback" I can't wait to see how this team matures and grows the rest of the season week in and week out.

GO HOKIES!!
