Hokies in ESPN Top 100 for CFB

Dorian Strong (88) and Antwuan Powell-Ryland (63) were the only two Hokies named to the top 100.

Ayden Greene was named as a potential Breakout Player not included on the Top 100 list.

Only surprises for me was with all the preseason hype on Drones/Tuten that neither broke the top 100.

Virginia Tech and Metallica collaborate to release co-branded merchandise line on August 26th

Who would have thought Metallica would be doing something like this 25 years ago? Pretty cool, can't wait to see what is produced.

Pry-ssr Camp 2024

Camp is officially in full swing and the team seems hungry. My takeaways are below.

I will be attending the Vandy and Marshall games and my 2nd is due in October, so I will probably be MIA for most of Sept-Oct. Any of y'all are welcome to take up the Pry-srr mantle this season.

Pry-ssr ACC Kickoff 2024 Catch-All

I'm going to just throw anything I see in here and I'll definitely breakdown the 11am Pry speech. I hope to get the individual interviews broken down this evening, but feel free to add anything y'all see from media days in the comments.

It's time for the #goacc Kickoff

It's that time of year where we all get together and show how we aren't a complete embarrassment of a conference and we are set for greatness. And what better way than to flex our internal strength....

🤦

At least they got our jerseys right.... Right?

Who is ready for football? (gulp)

Be forewarned- Vandy's QB is a baller. Beat Auburn at Auburn. And his OC at NMState (the ghost of Jerry Kill) came with him.

Who can tell I started looking at tape this week?

Lane Stadium In ESPN's Top 25 College Stadiums

Lane Stadium comes in at #15, which seems reasonable given the "Enter Sandman" tradition is only 25 years old. I may have put Lane a couple more higher, especially above Clemson and their stupid run down a hill. I like that there were no parameters or criteria put on the 14 ESPN writers who voted, just pure opinion.

32,000 seats installed into Lane Stadium to reduce crowding

For the time being, looks like this only on the West Stands and the lower sections of the East Stands, but I would assume if this is a hit, you'll see them rolled out to the majority of the stadium outside of the Student Sections. Personally, I like them, though I'm not at all sold on them being black, and would much prefer them maroon or orange to actually be our colors. Maybe there's a more permanent solution expected down the line.

This will be the end of the NCAA

If you are rooting for the NCAA to go away, you got your wish. This will 100% bankrupt them and beyond. Players - yes I know you are surprised- are retroactively suing for NIL money. That's right folks, Mike Vick highlights?- pay him his retroactive NIL. The NCAA is done. Over. Not enough money in the world to pay these back fees. This is only the beginning. Yay college sports!!!

OT: This Season is 25th anniversary of 1999-2000 season.

Was browsing youtube and got served this gem from 1999 by the algorithm and it hit me: this year will be the 25th anniversary of that season. Crazy to think that its so long ago (yet to be fair I was 8 years old at VT for the annual youth swimmeet that new year and didnt understand why everyone was buying Vick Jerseys since I didn't watch football yet). I dont want to jinx anything by making any projections (however much I'd like to), but it would be really nice to have this season finally get back to the days where we can legitimately win any given week.
