Because we're all Sunday morning quarterbacks.
"Project Osceola" aka "The Death of College Athletics"
I might be a bit dramatic with my title, but I can't see how this does anything other than accelerate CFBs demise from what it was into the wasteland of NFL-lite.
Private Equity usually kills whatever it touches in the mad dash for profit and I don't see how that wouldn't happen with college football. Seems like a short term gain for long term consequences.

For a few years now, I've been attempting to expand how we measure returning production. The formula I have created shifts with each new year of data and has had to shift a ton with the rising number of transfers. But the gist remains the same: High or low returning production percentages correlate well with improvement and regression. They might not guarantee a good or bad team, but they can still tell us a lot.
VT is first overall, first in offensive talent, and 12th in defensive talent.

Here are the opening weekends games. Jerry Kill may have made the Hokies opening game at Vanderbilt a bit more challenging as the Commodores got a commitment this week from New Mexico State QB Diego Pavia. Kill was recently made the Chief Consultant to the Head Coach at Vandy.

I will be doing my best to attend, but expect detailed individual personnel assessments post game. With Drones and a veteran receiver group likely getting little work, the spring game will be a showcase for the next wave of young players, particularly Pop Watson, Brodie Adams, Chanz Wiggins, and Chance Fitzgerald on offense and the young defensive backs on defense.

I think this was one still up in the air. Bitter just confirmed that Jenkins does plan to use his covid year and return in 2024 not bad for depth at LB.

Lord Emperor Saban has apparently decided to ascend, leaving an opening at Bama and I expect a slight ripple effect for schools/coaches depending on who is hired. Plus, I still feel like Harbaugh is going to the NFL to leave Michigan with a yet undisclosed mess of his to clean up.
The previous thread was becoming unwieldy, so here's a new one, now with tables!

Looking ahead, I've seen a lot of people talking about the ACCCG and potentially a dark horse for the playoffs. I would expect any chance of winning the championship game and playoff potential depends on who we would face. Looking at the top teams this year, the potential teams would be FSU, Louisville, and NC State. Given what we bring back and what we picked up in the portal, I think we could take State next year.
