"Current negativity?" We just hired James Franklin! Where have you seen anybody being negative lately outside of this thread?? Unless we're winning by 3 or more scores, game threads have always skewed negative no matter the outcome, and I'd wager the same is true around the internet.
As far as Drones, I'm really not sure what you want us to say instead. Speaking personally, he's a paid professional now, and I will critique him like one. He puts in a lot of effort, but the fact remains that he just isn't very good at playing quarterback. Which sucks because at one time it looked like he would be. Pointing that out and getting frustrated with it isn't "hate."
Spotted (purchased) in Winchester Target this week. The sticker says 2025 but the box says 2024, so hard to say if it's really new, but to be sure, I never noticed it before.
I'm sure whatever he told Franklin sounded tame compared to what PSU put him through.
There should be an allowance in the rules to actually eat the whistle when those things happen and treat it as a free play.

So SMU (barring a collapse at Cal—btw, what happened to them??) will be in the ACC title game, and their opponent depends a lot on what happens in Charlottesville next week.
Which ACC combination will produce the lowest ranked matchup? Asking for some G5 friends.
I don't feel great about this one. UVa went out and bought themselves an NIL team the same year that VT is struggling with the basics in terms of execution, and has limited talent. VT is out-talented.
That said, we probably owe UVa football some small amount of gratitude, as their spending woke our BOV the F up, and they realized that we can't even compete with the Hoos if we don't open up our wallets and invest in our football tradition. One year of buying players has put them at the top of the ACC. VT needs to go better than toe to toe with them.
VT is not without strengths even this year, so with clever strategizing I'm telling you there's a chance. It's smaller than usual, though.
Oh, yeah, I freaking hate UVa.

I think most coaches expect fans to have overdramatic reactions to losing. The relationship at administration, bov and boosters is where I bet they place the value. I assume he felt they treated him right to tell Franklin he could trust them.

They're both extremely flawed. Pop has better touch on deep balls, but behind this offensive line he's a dead man if you leave him in there long enough, especially against a defense like Miami's.
Drones has the physical tools to survive this OL and the aggressiveness to do it, but his decision-making just keeps getting worse and destroys drive after drive. It's infuriating to watch.

It's being chaired by EVP/COO Amy Sebring, who is one of the most talented people I've ever met. She gets shit done and has absolute mastery over performance metrics, budgeting, and strategic planning.
If we beat UVa next week...where would it rank in terms of most satisfying wins against them?
