Pop should be on your list of 21st century QBs who are undefeated against UVa.

Just finished the game. About what I expected, not thrilled with Monty calling timeouts down 10 with a minute to go and the ball on our side of the field and down to the backup QB. Just gave Miami time to score. Nothing to gain there, just take the 10 pt loss as success and get on to the rivalry game.

Ashore guess the same tiebreaker as I and we were only 2 points off, feeling the flow!

Pitt says hold my beer, let's try to give it away with a ridiculous fake punt.

All true and mostly agree, but you have to admit that the completion to Greene near the GL never happens with Drones.

Watson stood in the pocket and delivered with pressure bearing down.

Drones would have gotten instant happy feet then probably rolled right into Bisanthe.

Watson's first drive was one big play and a 3 yard run. His next drive was a pass to check down that went for 38 but then fumbled it away after that. Really strong take on basically four plays that produced a TD and then a game killing turnover.

first game back in lane since 2007. thoughts

1. it can still get loud, but the current crowd kinda lacks situational awareness
2. incredibly poor secondary play today, that is mind boggling to see that in person
3. drones is just grant noel, but willing to take a hit. pops first drive was a painful indictment of drones.
4. jeff overton jr is going to be an absolute problem, and im glad hawkins has another year
5. there will be a massive roster turnover next year and im ok after seeing that in person. effort is good though

I can't find much more on him but appears to lean WR. Unranked so curious if this is the equivalent of walk on offer even though those aren't a thing anymore.

Is he committing to us for one position over the other or is the thought that he may play both a la Travis Hunter?

Looks like he's unranked on 247, I can't imagine he's a Travis Hunter type, but I stopped following recruiting after year 1 of the pry regime so I'm out to lunch.

PSU beating the doors off Nebraska with Interim HC and backup QB with Matt Rhule on the opposite sideline.

Pat Kraft fired James Franklin to make a run at this.

Thanks for being a total duncecap, Pat!!

Wrong thread, but that's ridiculous coverage.

At no point today was Miami in any danger of losing to us. Even after we recovered the onside kick, we were down 2 scores with and would've needed to recover a second onside kick.

I forgot about the Cal debacle. Jesus. But the ACC is against them

Late to this party but the kids made me proud with their effort. I think the coaching isn't nearly as good as the effort on the field.

Refs have to live with themselves, that was pathetic. I understand that there is a desperate desire for Miami to compare well with ND, but the not so subtle agenda sucked for us.

Don't really get the drones hate on here, the kid is trying to carry the team on his back. He isn't great but he busts a gut with effort.

I stepped away from TKP and VT sports for a few years to (try and) take care of family issues, but I hope the current negativity finds a new outlet.

Guess that's why the officials blew our third down pass play that would've been a first down dead while the ball was in the air

I almost wish I could be as delusional as them

Except they claim its the exact opposite. The ACC is dragging them down every year, that's why they haven't won the conference and are struggling to make the Playoffs. Its almost as comical as the PSU fans trying to negative Nelly all things Franklin and are deep in VT threads about it.

Last year they also beat Cal and Louisville by replay assistance

Cal was an key overturn of a 22 yard catch that converted a 3rd and 20 and then the overturn on Targeting the Cal QB where Miami defender checked all the boxes. Launched, crown of helmet, struck head to head. It was deep in Miami territory and would have given call a first down in the red zone. Miami won 39-38 after trailing by 25.

Louisville scored on a scoop and score after a clear sack fumble. Replay said Ward did a forward pass, overturning it. It would have tied the game at 45. Miami then scored after getting the ball back to make it 52-38 and won 52-45.

And Pitt missed a FG, got bailed out on an offsides call and missed the re-kick
