I don't need him as a recruiting coordinator. But he should be on the recruiting team. He's an asset we should use.

Yeah he was just there for the Covid year which probably impacted his production. PSU had a rough two years playing through Covid.

Ciarrocca isn't anything extraordinary. But he's really solid and puts guys in positions to win. I think this year Rutgers is doing pretty good. I'm having trouble finding a success rate table (not a graph)

It's an entirely different scenario with Franklin bringing some of his staff with him from PSU compared to some G5 coach bringing all their work bros with them.

Did I mention that I'm hype for the new era? Because I'm hype AF. We renewed our tickets for next year just last night! Fully dipped.

I've seen "no offense" before; hoping that changes LOL

Yes, but we would've been a better team if he had stayed and been able to play. Notre Dame wanted him because he was a good 2nd or 3rd option for a team competing for the playoffs. It's too bad he had to retire.

Most if not all the new buildings I think are either going adjacent to the existing VetMed (for Vet Med part 2) or over on the golf course.

Wow, that didn't take long to announce.

You could tell how awkward Whit was answering that question. Franklin was probably like let's just announce this before someone says something they shouldn't.

Honestly might have been my second favorite thing from the entire PC. My favorite was acknowledging that Pry had a positive impact on the process. We all owe Pry a beer when we lift that ACC trophy (and hopefully more)

Well, I guess we can thank our new budget in part to you and merchandise revenue flowing from your wallet

The thing that stuck out to me were the repeated mentions of alignment being present at VT, something that many have already brought up and something that has been a major concern since the late Beamer years at Tech.

Another thing that I liked, but haven't seen mentioned, is Franklin acknowledging that you can't rebuild what you had somewhere else and the importance of recognizing institutional and community influence in the success of a program.

My biggest concern with him was that I didn't think recreating PSU in Blacksburg was a reality and him understanding that on top of hearing him use the time since his firing to reflect on his success and opportunities for improvment makes me a little more encouraged. I do think having Pry as a resource, even if not in an official capacity, is incredibly helpful for the program. Pry isn't going to shy away from telling Franklin what and who the issues are inside of Merryman.

He sounds very similar to Pry in his philosophy on recruiting vs. portal usage and how to implement NIL dollars. By all accounts, he should be more successful in this vision, but knowing how it went over the last 2-3 years, color me skeptical on whether that was just lip service and, if not, whether it'll work better this go round.
