I didn't focus on it during this week's film review, but the linebacker play was still rotten. Spencer was, by far, the most effective, but he is so undersized that it is difficult to expect him to be effective in ACC play. Let's hope opponents don't try to spread VT out, they are much better in their 3-4 package when Jeanette is on the field as an outside linebacker.

Use the screens effectively
Would love to see the screen in Lane be used better. Show replays more often and not so many random shots of the crowd. Have an actual clock showing real time. Show other game scores more often on the main board instead of the tiny one in the SW corner end zone that is nearly impossible to see from the East stands anywhere inside the southern half of the field. Be more accurate on down and distance to go-several times it has showed wrong down o and or yards to go this year.

VT vs Wofford noon kickoff - 0-3 team against a team whose entire student population is approximately 1650 students-knew it was a small school but holy cow)- attendance 57K+
UVA vs Stanford - Saturday night game- 2-1 team against Stanford- attendance-just over 37k
additional note- since i got VT-UVA tickets direct from their box office, I am on a mailing list for them, Got an offer for 2 tickets for $95 for next week's Friday night matchup against FSU- said it was in an effort to 'pack Scott Stadium....
I'll be there for all the remaining home games; don't know if that makes me a masochist or a delusional fan....
Side note- I can't blame folks who left in the second half (though it was still a larger crowd during the 4th quarter than the ODU game)- but damn it was hot as Hades in the east stands. Legitimately was concerned about heat exhaustion and had to hit the restroom and concourse for 10-15 minutes at end of halftime and beginning of 3rd quarter. Have never had that happen before there. It was 85 in the shade but way warmer in the sunshine obviously and relatively zero breeze for much of the game.
Bounced back to 4 correct picks this week and went from tied for 10th to tied for 7th. Looks like most of us missed the Texas Tech win and Nebraska had multiple chances but couldn't capitalize.
Anderson and Grimes are legit deep threats on any play. Both are averaging over 18 yards per catch. Beyond them it's hit or miss.
