I just remember the sorority houses having bars over the windows in Columbia. These beautiful historic southern houses. With bars over the windows.
I'm assuming he ment the universities, not the towns. Columbia didn't seem too bad. And my wife talked to a couple of female students there about safety. They did say they felt very safe on campus, but also said they don't go off campus alone, which kind of surprised me. The area right around it looked good to me. Maybe it is just how far off campus you have to go or we did not go in the wrong direction. Doe it have a major crime problem?
Was not like Winston Salem and Wake Forest. Man, that went downhill real fast when you left campus.
Won 11-9. Gave up 27 runs in two games to the 139th team in RPI. UGLY
You would prefer Columbia over Clemson? Could not disagree more.
Don't do Clemson, I made that choice and always regretted it. It looks pretty but it's not. South Carolina and Georgia are much better options. Charleston too. Although if she got into W&M, South Carolina won't be challenging enough for her (neither will Clemson).
Now up 11-8 after a 2 run Homer by Grube
Winning 9-8 but doing our best to lose another one to UNCG. 3 Hokies errors have allowed two unearned runs. Stieg only lasted 2.1 innings. Truitt has hit two homers off the Hokies to make it 8 homers for UNCG in not even two games.
Ok, MacArthur
My daughter chose William & Mary and absolutely loved the place and her time there.
Club Lacrosse lost 16-13 to BYU for the 2026 MCLA National Championship yesterday.
True, but not south enough for her. She really liked William & Mary's campus and one of the programs there when we visited, so that is in her top grouping. But still cooler than she would like:
Clemson
College of Charleston
Emory - but she's not getting into Emory, and she knows that is a massive long short
University of Georgia
University of South Carolina
William & Mary, which is the geographic exception that proves the rule of wanting to be in Georgia or South Carolina

We need to win the ACCT to get in. I dont see any other way. Even if we do we, we need to pray that our bullpen doesn't blow-up on selection sunday.
Sagnia played several years in Spain. and some of his career productivity stats are remarkably similar to Heide's.

They are both fairly athletic bigs that can't shoot free throws.
Shockingly, Sagnia shoots just under 30% from 3...42 out of 141...yes, he tried 141 3's in 3 years and one game (averaging 15 mpg)...about 45% of his attempts were 3's. Over there, he was essentially a wing.
Frazier has himself a project.

Carrico named an NFCA Freshman of the Year finalist
The Michkov/Tocchet situation is absolutely fucked. Especially given the hypocritical leash Toc gave other players this year. Mich is gonna be Gauthier all over again (though probably less of whiner about it)
Assuming Vladars season wasn't a fluke and we get a new
PPcoach
FTFY. Obviously we need a new PP coach as well but it was immensely frustrating watching the January Flyers reappear after looking like they belonged in the first round. Power play issues, turtling/dump and chasing ad nauseam, basically just ceding control of the game flow to the Canes without seriously challenging them. Playoff Konecny rearing his ugly head on that blown breakaway chance in game 2. And don't get me started on the way they're wrecking Michkov's psyche by scratching him and limiting his ice time. If/when he leaves Philly he's going to turn into an offensive dynamo. It's a movie I've seen over and over again at this point.
We've got a lot of young talent coming in, and this was still the most fun Flyers season in, like...14 years. But that's the sad part. It just feels like 2nd round is as far as this group and this front office is ever gonna get, and no true fan will be satisfied with that. Bring Eric Tulsky home, wipe the philosophical slate clean, and join the 21st century already.
Anyway, I won't be watching the rest of the playoffs. Don't really care who wins the Cup, although it would be nice to see it go to Buffalo I guess.
Yeah TK was..... not it. He's our lil rat and been one of the lone bright spots during our shit years and I love him for that but... with our wing depth, if people come asking next trade deadline, I'd certainly listen to offers
Vladar is good
Honestly the Flyers are where the Canes were in 2019. Very young, tons of potential, just not ready to put it all together. Also, Konecny is going to have nightmares about Freddie for the rest of his life. Oof.
I'll not be satisfied until we get consistent 6* commits!
Good series Canes. Knew my Flyers had some slim odds without Tippett and then when Cates went down knew it was over. But at least we sorta looked like we belonged and the future is looking bright. (Assuming Vladars season wasn't a fluke and we get a new PP coach)
He is still that dude😤
lol I knew I had a Jim Miller thread in here somewhere. Didn't want to break any rules and start a new one haha.
Holy gravedig batman

Minnesota finally woke up last night. By chance and a little spare $$$ I happened to find myself in the arena for game #2 and Minnesota just looked completely outclassed. They managed to finally take advantage of some opportunities last night during the 4-4 and then the 4-3 advantage in the first, and never looked back. Game 4 is going to be an interesting watch.
